It was a double feature at the movies:
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Superdad. |

Dinsey's "The Jungle Book" (circa the 1981 release)

I remember (barely) seeing Star Wars when I was 3. I remember thinking Obi Wan was talking directly to me when he said "Hello there" to R2 after Luke was attacked by the Sand People.

Gonna go with E.T. as well

Return of the Jedi.
I was 4. |
A Nightmare On Elm Street when I was 4. I remember my cousin snuck it from his parents collection and brought it to my grandparents house, where we watched it in the basement. Our parents came down to check on us and freaked out when they saw what we were watching(we almost finished the movie). I find it funny that Freddy didn't scare me, yet I was afraid of the Big Bad Wolf because of a cartoon I saw.
Shortly afterwards I saw Friday the 13th Part II, and didn't get caught that time :). Ever since I have been a huge fan of Jason, and started dressing as him for Halloween when I was 7. First movie I remember seeing in the theater was Masters of the Universe. I HAVE THE POWER!!! |
In the theaters? Maybe it was Return to Oz in 1985, although I remember seeing Heidi's Song (1982). I doubt that movie would've made it to Colombia until 1983 or 1984. There was also a re-release of Dumbo I saw in that same time period.
There was also some really boring Spanish or Mexican movie about a bullfighter I saw. I may have seen that before anything else, but I fell asleep. The first complete movie I remember seeing was Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend. The first movie I saw in US theatres was Police Academy III. We never owned a VCR when I was young and I don't remember seeing movies on TV. |
