Weird coincidence

I am watching Demolition Man with Stallone & Snipes and saw a very weird coincidence with true life.

Wesley Snipes breaks out of the Chryoprison and kills 3 people. Sandra Bullock checks the computer for the names of the prisoners and the second name on the list is Scott Peterson.

The only other time I have seen something like that was in the movie Hannibal. They show the FBI's top ten list and on it is Osama Bin Ladan. The movie was made before 9/11 so I would think that not a lot of people would have known who he was at that time.

Anyone know of any other coincidences like these in other movies?

Osama Bin Laden was in fact on the FBI's top ten at the time Hannibal was made, so that doesn't surprise me at all.

Another weird coincidence in Demolition Man is the mention of the Schwarzenegger Presidential Library. 10 years after this movie, Arnold Schwarzenegger begins his political career. There have even been recent rumors that the Constitution could be amended to allow foreign-born Americans to run for President.

Now all we need is the 3-seashell-toilet-thing to be invented.

In T3, the husband of Claire Daines was Scott Peterson. I believe they renamed him in the movie, but he still shows up that way in the credits

There is also this one regarding Back to the future III and the world series

He'd need less than that with a high-speed internet connection (or a DVD-ROM with a copy of HANNIBAL in hand)...

Wasn't big enough for Clinton to do anything about him when Syria offered to turn him over to us.

Back on topic ...

It was pretty strange to watch Day of the Locust (released in the 70s) for the first time about a year ago and see that

Spoiler:
Donald Sutherland's character is named Homer Simpson.

I have one. In the movie Troll there is a little boy named Harry that wants a witch in his apartment building to "teach me how to be a wizard". If you look at the credits the kids name is Harry Potter.

It might not be a coincidence depending if Rowling ever saw Troll or not.

If this is true, I smell a lawsuit brewing somewhere.

Just wait.

Yeah the kids name is Harry Potter Jr.
For some reason though I believe much like a lot of other characters in the HP books, Rowling got Potter's name from English literature or legends.
So they may have just gotton the name from the same place.
And if not, no one could ever say that Rowling is the most original writer in the world. Not that she isn't creative, she just borrows from a lot of other stuff.

Since it was all over the news tonight, I can name another person on the Most Wanted List.

But I think I'm stuck at two.

But bin Laden was in the news a lot before 9/11. Looking at the list, the rest of these guys, not so much.
