The Silence of the Lambs is not a sequel. Despite it's connections, it's not directly associated to Mann's Manhunter --- therefore, not a sequel.

Fuck EW.

I didn't hate it, but it seemed pointless and too cute for its own good.

Revenge of the Nerds 2...How could this be included? The characters struggle as they come to terms with their true identities while faced with isolation on the island. Oscar material.

Now 3 and 4, those make me vomit feces.

Well 2 *IS* Oscar material compared to 3+4.

"Hablo Ingles?"
"Yes, you speak english."

It has already been determined that this list is invalid because they forgot to name some really bad sequels (MIB2)

24: The Next Karate Kid
23: Porky's 2
22: Teen Wolf Too
21: Legally Blonde 2

are better films than Godfather III? It deserves to be on this list but MiB II doesn't?

While I'm on it, what exactly is the deal with people bashing Godfather III? Is it as good as the first two? No. Is it a perfectly fine, solid film? Yes, of course. It's not even just me saying that, which is my point. The film actually received very respectable reviews. Looking on RottenTomatoes, it has a 77% overall rating, and on IMDB it has a very solid 7.4 score. Not to mention, as stated before, it was nominated for a BEST PICTURE Oscar! Hell, it was also nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Best Cinematography, Best Director, Best Film Editing, and Best Music, Original Song! It was also nominated for a number of the major Golden Globes as well.

I just don't get it. I never have, and never will. If there is ever a list of the films that have received the most undeserving bashing, Godfather III should be at the top of that list.

This is just one of those things having to do with film that drive me crazy.
I was going to say something like this but you beat me to it (I only now looked at this thread). Putting Godfather III on a list like this is ludicrous.

GODFATHER 3 doesn't add anything good , but does add bad.
Mike Corleone is way different person than 1 & 2 and so is the sister Connie.
It was led to believe that Mike's son would run the buisness in 2 instead Mike's son is a wuss.
And the ending with Mike just falling off his chair looks like something out SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.
There's more bad , but too much to write.
If it didn't have THE GODFATHER 3 title it would be just a so-so movie like BRONX TALE. But the fans expected a lot more the same way STAR WARS fans were dissapointed with PHANTOM MENACE .

Many Star Wars probably feel Attack of the Clones is worse than The Phantom Menace, although they are both pretty bad.

In the article, that was actually one of the criteria used to judge the sequels nominated.

I'm not sure which is better of the two, but i recall that the man himself, Irvin Kershner said that AOTC was better than TPM so i don't know.

The list is a joke, lets be real, the star wars prequels were a dissapointment to some, but to compare it to these films is bad even for the biggest Lucas basher.

most people i know like attack of the clones. They hate star wars the phantom menace and return of the jedi. I thought this was unanimous opinion. only little kids liked return of the jedi and phantom menace. adults hated them while liking clones.

Yeah. As much as I dislike Return of the Jedi, it looks like Lawrence of Arabia next to the prequels.

I don't think Big Top Pee-Wee is a sequel to Pee Wee's Big Adventure. It was just another movie with the Pee-Wee character. I guess in the same vain that the Ernest movies arn't really sequels.

My thoughts exactly. I disagree with 95% of what EW says and sometimes I think even they don't know what they're talking about.
