Always been a Sly fan, but I admit outside of his franchises the pickins are slim...

Rocky 1-3
Rambo 1, 2
Cliffhanger (his best action flick)
Demolition Man
Copland

Not as great but enjoyable:
Assassins
Judge Dredd

Hopefully I can add Rocky 6 to the first list next yr...

Stallone's all right, nothing really spectacular. Unlike most people, I don't really enjoy Rocky all that much.

First Blood
Demolition Man
Antz
Cliffhanger
Death Race 2000

I like Stallone. He's a decent actor (especially compared to Arnold) and he's actually pretty smart too -- articulate and creative enough to write Rocky. But once you start making bad movie after bad movie, the Burt Reynolds-Charlie Sheen freefall can bury you. Kiefer Sutherland was able to land 24 after his straight-to-video phase, but all Stallone seems to be doing is making sequels to his two most popular characters, A LONG LONG TIME after their last movies. It would be like if Lou Diamond Phillips came out with Stand and Deliver 2 this year.

I am proud to say that I do not own one Stallone film in which he starred in. I find him to be a below average actor with little range, extremely irritating and his choice of film roles to be pathetic; mindless roles that require little acting ability.

However, one of the few times in which he picked a role which required some acting chops was Copland , but I thought he did a pretty bad job, he just couldn't lose himself in the role...I was always thinking to myself that it was just Stallone trying to act like some dumb, put upon nice guy...on second thought maybe he should stick to his mindless roles that require little acting ability.

I actually find his acting in Rocky to be some of his best. If you ever hear him talk in real life (like on his commentary for First Blood) he is really super smart and doesn't talk like Rocky at all. I also think his acting in both First Blood and Copland were really great.

Couldn't disagree more. His performance in Cop Land was very good. In fact, I thought he gave a better performance than Deniro, who seemed to be sleepwalking.

Mr. Cinema

I still don't understand why Over the Top gets so much love in here.
This is the film that taught a whole generation of children that life never meets you halfway. It's hard to top that.

I don't think people hate him, they just hate when someone keeps milking the same old thing. I don't want Rocky VI, but I still like Stallone when he does interviews, he still is pretty young looking for almost 60!

His best movie is Rocky, one of my favorites of all-time.

I enjoyed Rambo, Rocky, Demolition Man, etc.

I also liked Oscar. Audiences didn't like him in a pure comedy, but I thought it was hilarious.

FIST comes first, absolutely. Followed by Nighthawks.

More people need to see FIST. No excuses, it's finally out on DVD in region 1 now.

Rocky is one of my favorite films. The sequels are okay, cheesy fun.

Cliffhanger and Nighthawks are two more great flicks.

Other than that......

I like stallone, his biggest problem is that he never worked with a great directors, like arnold with cameron.
My favorate films of his are
Cobra, mindless action,
first blood
rambo first blood part 2
cliffhanger

I like Assassins alot through the first half of the movie but then ending was so slow once he hooked up with julianne moore, the movie stopped for like 40 minutes with no action and then ended at the bank finally.

Tango and Cash, Demolition Man, Daylight, Rambo 3, Specialist, Nighthawks and even Judge Dredd to varying degrees, are entertaining. i always wish that Paul Verhoven had directed Judge Dredd, I think he could have done a great job with it, material fit his style. Rocky 1-4 are good especialley 1 & 2, but for me they have low replay value.
