^ That looks really good!

Personally, I’d rather have original Boba over “Dad bod” Boba but it still looks like a high quality piece.

I’ve got the version from Return of the Jedi already. I don’t have the one from The Empire Strikes Back though.

Interesting that BBTS was higher than Sideshow on this at $504. I pre-ordered it at $490 at SS, and now they have it $495.

I think $495 is the right price and Sideshow’s initial price was wrong. BBTS has been marking up items for a while now. I think it’s basically to compensate for their “$4” flat rate shipping. I pre-ordered at Alter Ego. They ship free for items over $250 in most cases.

As much as people dream of being rich celebrities there are certainly strange aspects to that life. Seeing dozens of tiny heads of yours on spikes is pretty up there on the weird-o-meter.

That’s not her bust and I don’t need to see other peoples’ hands on it ... :rimshot:

I realize I am in no place to talk having glorified dolls(Hot Toys) in a glass shelf, but I'm trying to imagine going to someone's house and they have a bust of Vision just sitting there, and while they're explaining that there are only 398 made what would go through my mind. Superman, WW, those are a bit more iconic and I can understand a collection based around those characters, but Vision? ;)

Picked up Vision.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

Congrats :)

When it was first revealed over a year ago, I was right there with fujishig in questioning "why?" for this particular character. I felt like he failed to make much of an impression in his- at that point- very short MCU existence.

After 6 more hours in WandaVision though, he's become one of my all time favorite MCU characters. I take the character any day over the Snyder-verse Superman or Batman.

I have the reissue of the Hot Toys figure on pre-order- but I wish the likeness to Bettany was even half as good as the one on this bust.

Ringside collectibles partnered with Sylvester Stallone to produce this awesome Rambo action figure. Price is $290 though but it's incredibly detailed

Yeah, that Rambo looks pretty good on its surface. I’m pretty big into sixth scale collecting and there’s some in the community who are a little unsure of it.

Mainly it’s not from one of the known producers and the guy who runs the Sly Stallone Shop (where this is also sold, and is $260 currently) is a bit on the sketchy side.

I kind of want to get it, but I’m waiting on in-hand pictures.

Don't know if you ever picked this up- but probably through the rest of the weekend it's on sale- $60 off + free shipping.

It's funny/sad that I get more of a Chris Reeve vibe from this than I do their actual Reeve Superman statue(s).

Should also drop this here as it's also running out in two days-

A die-cast 1/350 scale TOS Enterprise, with all the bells and whistles for $600 (which includes taxes and shipping in the cont. US).

If it's everything they say it is, this will be a STEAL at this price. They've already had to reduce the edition size twice to have a chance of making the goal. They should do it now at a little over 2000 units.

It's basically the same size as the Polar Lights kit that retails for around $100- but this is fully built, painted and lit- and mostly die-cast whereas the kit is all styrene.

That Enterprise looks nice, but at twenty pounds, I'd be a bit concerned about the nacelles or saucer section developing a sag. Probably depends how its put together.

They've specifically addressed that in some of their videos- Unlike the more expensive Master Replicas, and the PL kits (unless the builder specifically reenforces them), these nacelles won't sag because the structure is all die-cast metal.

Here's a good video with one of the developers going into detail on both the company and the plans for this and future projects.

BTW it's fully funded now.

I just found out about this a couple days ago. I was skeptical at first, but am fully sold now. I think it'll be a hell of a project.

It’s very cool, but I’m already collecting the sixth scale Star Trek figures by EXO-6.

Congrats- those look incredible! Amazing it took this long to get some truly nice figures out of that entire franchise.

I have the Kirk, Spock, McCoy and Khan that QMX put out, how do the EXO-6 figures compare?
I also have QMXs Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly. They are some of the best 1/6 figures that I own.

Paul_SD 07-23-22 04:56 PM

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

The QMX have some very solid portrait sculpts as well. Both lines look good to me.
TBH, I didn't realize there were two companies putting these out now. I assumed Mirror Spock and Sulu were from the same company that put out Kirk, Spock, and McCoy.

It feels like HT's quality has started to dip here and there, as the prices go up considerably.
ALL these ST figs seem like a great value in comparison.

20 hours left. Really debating on jumping in. $600 is a lot but it looks like an incredible model. And with such a small edition size I bet I could make some money on a resell if I decide not to keep it. I've never participated in a crowdsourced item before. I'm just wondering where I would keep this thing. It's huge. Plus I wonder if I should just wait until they decide to release the 1701 - A or D. I already have a really nice Hallmark light up 1701 amongst several other models.

hmm...
