I believe that's actually from a deleted scene. I'm pretty happy that he has the training helmet with the blast shield and the training orb.

Here's the Exclusive version available only at Sideshow if it follows the trend of other exclusive figures:

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

These Star Wars figures are going to look amazing all displayed together. I hope the first couple non-Storm Trooper figures hit soon (Han and Chewie). I'm curious to see if Leia will have sculpted hair or if Hot Toys is going to attempt the buns with rooted hair. I'm not really the biggest fan of the farmboy look for Luke but the figure turned out pretty awesome if you ask me.

This might be my favorite figure of the Age of Ultron line thus far. Really like the character and Elizabeth Olsen. Very simple but nice figure.

This went up for sale late last night

Already put my deposit down.
I think Craig (in costume) may have been my first crush. Either her or the animated Josie (...and the pussycats)

Batgirl does look fantastic, though it would have been cooler to see her on a Batcycle.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

I wish Hot Toys would do an Yvonne Craig Batgirl. I sort of doubt it'll happen though as I think the 66 figures were slow sellers and I think the line may not go any further. The Batmobile may still be coming since I believe its in development already, but I won't be surprised if that's all we get.

The 1966 Batman and Robin are two of my favorites and would love a continuation of the villains and Batgirl but I agree the line is most likely dead.

Newest reveal from Hot Toys is the Avengers: Age of Ultron Thor. Looks pretty good to me but I already have the light armored version from The Dark World so I don't feel the need to get another. The LED Mjolnir is sort of a cool add on.

Yeah the light up hammer is cool but like you I already have a sleeveless Thor. Not like they won't have at least a couple more thors anyway.

You guys suck. I never looked in this thread before and never bothered with collectible figures. Now I absolutely have to have the Sideshow R2D2 and C-3PO. They look amazing.

Plus Thor is a character who's look doesn't really change very much. He's had different outfits but they're all pretty similar.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

Two new reveals from Hot Toys this week. First up is the new T-800 Guardian from Terminator Genisys. Its up for pre-order at Sideshow for $235. I'll probably pick it up at some point as I'm a big Schwarzenegger and Terminator fan, but the figure is fairly bare bones for the price.

Also the first Toy Fair 2015 Exclusive was revealed and its the Mark XXIV Tank armor from Iron Man 3. Not sure when it goes up for pre-order.

Also Sideshow put up a pair of Jawas from Star Wars yesterday. They're pretty cool but come in at $220, which is higher than I'd like but since I'm collecting figures from A New Hope specifically I'll probably get them.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

I want those Jaws but the price is too high. I did spend $100 on the Yoda SS figure so I guess $110 each for a Jawa isn't too bad. The eyes lighting up is cool looking when on but will look kind of silly just displayed turned off.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

I'm imagining a set up with the Jawas and R5-D4 (announced a while back) looking pretty cool. I do agree they're a bit pricey for what they are though. Especially when you consider that a lot of the Hot Toys Star Wars figures are more detailed and a lot of them are coming in around the same price.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

How much more detailed can a Jawa figure get, though?

Sideshow does well enough with the alien figures anyway; it's the ones with likenesses where Hot Toys in general usually blows them away. And while Sideshow prices are creeping up, so are Hot Toys.

Yeah I know. I just don't think the Sideshow price reflects what they are was sort of my point, but then again the 1/6th market in general is overpriced and we're just addicts.

I find it funny how a lot of people give Hot Toys so much crap about prices but seem to be willing to overlook Sideshow doing the same thing. Not that Hot Toys' prices aren't high but to me certain lines and figures have crept up more since I've been collecting (since around 2012), but as a whole I don't think they're that much more expensive since I started buying them.

Sideshow figures when I first started getting into 1/6th were under $200 pretty regularly, but now they pretty consistently are going over $200 like Hot Toys. I think the problem for me with that is that their quality doesn't always reflect their pricing. Also to me it seems like Sideshow has gotten higher with their prices over a shorter span of time.

People always forget or don't know, that SS jacks up the price of HT in the U.S. I wouldn't mind SS prices if the quality was there, it's not even close to being there.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

The only Sideshow figure I currently have is their R2-D2. Just going off others I've seen or have seen reviewed they generally don't seem as good as Hot Toys to me. The R2-D2 I have looks pretty nice but feels rather cheaply made to me. As far as them raising the price of Hot Toys figures some of that is just so they profit but their markups do seem high at times.

Re: 1 and Only Movie Figures and Collectibles Discussion

My latest pickup:

Scored the last one on the shelf for $20 at Toys R Us. The packaging reads "The Rocketeer Legacy Collection #1", so hopefully we'll see more figures from the movie show up (c'mon, Lothar!). It's 6" scale, sculpted by Gentle Giant and released by Funko. I mainly collect 7" figures, but made an exception since merch from The Rocketeer is a bit scarce. Outside of that amazing Sideshow premium format figure, this is the only one I've seen that had Billy Campbell's likeness.

The helmet is an entirely separate head, so you have to pop one off in order to switch them out. I added the base, but the feet have no holes on the bottom for support pegs. It doesn't really need them, since the figure has great articulation. With the ankle pivots, you can get it into some fun poses without worrying about it falling over every ten minutes. Cool detail: It even has the bubble gum patch on the back of the rocket pack.

Is this for tv characters too? I'm looking for one of those Funko Pop figures of John Hurt's War Doctor (from Doctor Who). Does anyone know if it even exists?

Tks

Don't believe it does. There is a big head vinyl figure from Titan, though.
