smokin' !!!

she had a vunerability, charisma, and ultra-mean streak all in one - she was the best part of the film IMO.

Awesome. She was the main draw for me.

Same here. I may even rent this just to see her in action.

Matilda the Hun has passed.

From Arbogast on Film:

Sadly coincident with the release of DEATH RACE (2008), a semi-remake of Paul Bartel's DEATH RACE 2000 (1975), is the untimely passing of cult actress Roberta Collins (pictured above with Fred Grandy). I have no further details but my source is, I'm afraid to tell you, impeccable. Collins was a familiar face in a slew of exploitation films of the 1970s, among them Jack Hill's THE BIG DOLL HOUSE (1970), Gerardo de Leon's WOMEN IN CAGES (1971), Vernon Zimmerman's UNHOLY ROLLERS (1972) and Jonathan Demme's CAGED HEAT (1974). She's probably most famous for playing the Teutonic Matilda the Hun in DEATH RACE 2000 but I always liked her best as the greenhorn hooker in the Harpo Marx wig who runs afoul of Neville Brand's gonzo hotelier early into Tobe Hooper's EATEN ALIVE (1976).

I misread this twice and thought you said "second LOUSIEST" film of the year. Which I would have disagreed. Even though I didn't see it, I would have picked "Made of Honor" as the lousiest ;) But you're right about "TIH" being the loudest. I made that very remark in it's reviews thread. Should blow out a speaker or two in my home theater when I buy that on BD.

Great fun action packed movie ! loved it

and what i loved was the fact it get the car weapons simple and traditional. Right back to the days of the video game spy hunter, oil slicks, machine guns and spikes tacks were the mainstay. I'm glad there weren't any ridiculous weapons

Stratham to me is the no 1 action hero

Just rented this movie. Pretty entertaining actually! Paul W.S. Anderson knows how to make an exciting flick. He's done 6 entertaining action flicks in a row!

Why does Paul W.S. Anderson get so much hate? He's just an action movie genre director, just like at the same level as a Stephen Sommers. And for the past decade, Event Horizon is still one of the most scary recent horror films.
