3. Walk the Line - Great movie.
4. Cinderella Man - Kinda sappy, but in the good way.
5. A History of Violence - Great film.
6. Lord of War - Funny, dramatic, and educational.
7. Crash - Matt Dillon is hilarious.

Way to early for me as well, because off the top of my head, I can't even think of ten great films. And I've seen over sixty films released this year in theaters.

Screw Ebert was definitely not one of my favorite movies of the year. I found it highly disturbing and wished that they had at least used a body double in some scenes.
I did like:
Head-On (best of the year)
3-Iron
Thumbsucker
Rize
Broken Flowers
Kung Fu Hustle
9 Songs
The 40-Year-Old Virgin
Nobody Knows
2046
I have yet to see:
The Squid and the Whale
King Kong
Munich
Palindromes
Brokeback Mountain (never liked a Lee film though)
The Constant Gardener
Lord of War
Mysterious Skin
Howl's Moving Castle

My favorite movie of 2005 hasn't even been mentioned in any list so far, Ebert or otherwise.
I thoroughly enjoyed The Exorcism of Emily Rose. I thought there was something really special and unique there. I realize it's not everybodies cup of tea, but why is this movie being completely overlooked? Especially in a year of highly mediocre to terrible films.

since I only went to see about 10 movies this year, it would be (no order):
2046
Pride & Prejudice
Domino
Lords Of Dogtown, my favorite of the bunch
Crash
Charlie & The Chocolate Factory
The Boys & Girl From County Clare
Kung-Fu Hustle
Two others, SW Revenge Of the Sith & Sin City: But they both sucked.
And I won't get to see it until tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure it'll wind up being my favorite of the year: Memoirs Of A Geisha.

Some of the Oscar contenders haven't played here yet, but I am mighty keen on these movies:
1. The Devil's Rejects
2. Sin City
3. Serenity
4. March of the Penquins
5. Batman Begins
6. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
7. Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire
8. The Chronicles of Narnia
9. Crash
10. Mr. and Mrs. Smith
I also really enjoyed Three...Extremes, but am unsure if it counts as 2004 or 2005. High Tension is also a personal favorite, but I saw it last year so it isn't fair to count it I guess.

1) Batman Begins - well directed, everything just flowed together
2) 40 year old Virgin - Loved the scenes at his work. Co workers funny as hell.
3) Cinderella Man - Opponent at the end was one dimensional, but everything else made up for it.
4) Chronicles of Narnia - Battle scene was better than any of Kingdom of Heaven's. Plus I read the book in grade school.
5) Exorcism of Emily Rose - Loved the fact that the movie let the audience decide if Emily was really possesed.
6) Devil's Rejects - Funny movie, I laughed so many times. Ending had me cracking up.
7) Saw 2 - Way better than the first. The traps were cool.
8) The Island - Would've made the top 5 if it wasn't for the stupid action scenes.
9) Sin City - 2 of the 3 stories were good. Visually impressive. Didn't care for the acting
10) Harry Potter - Beat out King Kong because it was more consistent.
