Bishonen (Hong Kong) Good movie; Stephen Fung looks lovely.
Lan Yu (Hong Kong) Good movie!
A Touch of Pink (Kyle Maclachlan is enjoyable as the spirit of Cary Grant, though film is cliched)
Regular Guys (a lot of fun)
Priest (Excellent film)
Urbania (One of my favorites)

I was going to start a thread about Misintertations of Homosexuality in film, and these were the two films that were the reason i've always wanted to do it. I guess I always assumed Rebel got put in this catagory was because of Sal Mineo(sp?) and Dean real life sexual prefences.
Did anyone already say Aimee and Jaguar, i think it was the name of it anyway. I've only seen it once but i really enjoyed it.

As for Rebel without a Cause, there's a lot of gay subtext there.

The Watermelon Woman
Even though the central character is gay, the plot doesn't have a gay theme. Not sure if that counts.

I just watched:
Naked Fame - marginal
This is the documentary about porn star Colton Ford's attempt to move from porn to becoming a pop star. The stuff with him singing was pretty lame (he just isn't that great of a signer, and that song he was shopping around STUNK) but I found the interactions with his porn star boyfriend Blake Harper fascinating. If they would have just focused on that relationship, this movie could have been great.

Ionno how 'gay' this is...but Spiderman 2 made me finally decide to come out.
As for 'gay' themed movies and gay cult movies, I'd have to say:
Go
Legally Blonde
Wildthings
Bend it like Beckham
Clueless
Romy and Michele's high school reunion
Cruel Intentions
Bring it on
The Craft
Ten things i hate about you
also...was James Dean gay? is that what I'm inferring?

I didnt realize, until I saw the Celluloid Closet the other day, that Rebel without a cause had a lot gay context because Sal Mineo's character was gay and he said in a scene, I would like you to come over to my house and stay since my parents arent home. You can take that as you will.
Dean was rumored to be Bi in real life and Mineo was gay.
Bring it on is a fun movie and you get goodlooking men and woman in it to look at and one of the characters is gay.
Mean Girls too.

And as for James Dean, it's pretty well-documented that he was bisexual. Has anyone seen that album of pictures that includes the one of him up in the tree?

As for Fight Club, i believe on the commentary Palahniuk(again i can't spell today) brought up in the bathtub scene that a lot of people stated that the whole line that Tyler says was said to have some kind of homesexual meaning, but again it was more of a dissatifaction of being raised by their mothers and not having the male role models around. I need to watch it again since its been quite a few years since i listened to that commentary. I think Chuck's Invisible Monsters is much heavier on the homoerotic themes than Fight Club. I know this post is about Gay cinema and not Gay Novels so i'll shut up about that.
Sorry again to get a little off topic.

Sorry, it'd have to be from someone else. I don't have the source material or even know the name of it. It's just something I've come across before. But it's James Dean up in a tree nekkid, er, posing for the camera. Hotness.

The National Portrait Gallery's (NPG) The World's Most Photographed exhibit includes previously unseen pictures of icons like MARILYN MONROE, MOHAMMED ALI and ELVIS PRESLEY, and were offered the controversial shot of Dean by novelist DUNCAN FALLOWELL.
The shot shows a man, with an erection, up an apple tree. The NPG declined the use of the photograph.
Fallowell says, "They wouldn't display it because it was too naughty. They were initially very keen to see it, but eventually it was vetoed from the top. Unfortunately, the male nude is still taboo, even at the NPG."
Exhibition curator ROBIN MUIR says, "That simply isn't the case - in fact, the photograph is a relatively inoffensive male nude. The problem is it's not James Dean. It's a fuzzy, grainy person up a tree.
"We would have loved to have used it, but we just couldn't be sure it was him.
