I just wish they'd get Brian Cox back. I found him creepy but Anthony Hopkins seemed too much like Snideley Whiplash to me to be any bit scary.
I'd have to respectfully disagree. Brian Cox was not even remotely creepy or scary in my opinion. Hopkin's performance in SOTL was far, far superior in every respect, as well as being far more frightening. Now I won't comment on his other two performances in this series as they bear no resemblance to his SOTL performance. They simply made Lecter nothing more than a slasher.

But in SOTL, he was the epitome of Lecter. Brian Cox never fit that role and looked completely out of place. I never once bought that he was a cannibalistic serial killer.
