I don't know if anyone else has posted this already but I'm surprised its already in the works. I tried to search for "saw" but it's too short to search this way. How do you get around that?
Saw II was awesome and its already made a lot in the box office. It is set up right for a sequel as well.

They can keep making these crapfests as long as they bring in the money. The name Saw is already close to becoming household and with these tiny budgets, they'd have to be stupid not to keep making them.

My thinking is that we can expect one of these for every Halloween weekend on a yearly basis until they stop making money. These films will be one weekend wonders and fizzle after Hallow's eve IMO.
If they only cost about $4 Million a piece and can gross about $30 Million their first weekend, I say make several at a time and then be set for the next two or three years.

I just wonder if they will go for the twist ending YET again. It's not something I think they can pull off THREE times.

There was just an article today in the LA Times about how everyone and every studio is jealous of Lions Gate because of how smart and in tune they are with today's marketplace. It bascially said it's because they don't have a board of stuipd executives slowly making decisions and that they take chances. Saw II seemed to be the reason and one of the hightlights of the article as it crushed The Mask of Zorro.
