George Forman>Rocky

This film sounds like trash. If Sly can pull this film off along with his Rambo comback I will be VERY surprised. Once the general movie going public sees previews for Rocky 6, i just can't see many of them getting excited about this already exhausted franchise.

Then again, its the same people that go to all those Halloween/Hellraiser/Nightmare/Scream sequels, so who knows what will happen. (not a great comparsion I know, but yall get my point)

If Sly is just looking for a payday, and then retire i can understand that. Go for it. But if he is trying to re-ignite his career, this isn't the way to do it.

Sly stick to bit parts in Spy Kids and you will be fine

Suddenly i am reminded of that Weird Al song "Theme From Rocky XIII"

Actually, the thought of Rocky being retired and running a deli seems like a much better idea.

Forget all this, have Rocky retired and running the local deli, having lost most of his money in bad business deals. He comes home to find Adrian (time for one list ADRIAN!!! while holding her) and his kid killed. He believes it's the local streetgang, but the cops won't do anything about it. So Rocky has to go and clean up the streets. Title: Rocky VI: Deathwish It's the start of a new franchise!

I haven't watch any of the Rocky movies for so long, that I forgot what the plots actually was. I surmised that Sylvester Stallone is endeavoring to return back into mainstream movies, instead of direct to video releases.

If you see Stallone today, he hasn't lost much definition on his body at all. just a few more wrinkles.

Stallone will be the best in shape 60 year old I've ever seen when he turns 60, the man has been a health and fittness freak, he's well preserved, and got more muscles then some people in their 30s.

Stallone has signed on to do Rambo 4 as well, I thought Rambo 4 is gonna film before Rocky 6 though.

If this is made, I just hope they go a somewhat sillier Rocky 3/4 route with this. When Rocky 5 tried be recapture the "serious film" feel of the original it was a huge failure. After the robot maids and the Soviet Superwarrior you just can't put that genie back in the bottle. He's not going to win another Oscar for Rocky 6, so he might as well have fun with it.

As much as i like Rocky, after the last few sequels i'm starting to think he should've buried that script in his backyard like he threatened too.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that Mr. T will be in Rocky VI as a commentator, so I guess we will find out what's happened to Clubber Lang.

Here we go:

http://www.newswatch50.com/entertain...F-917E7485EC47

Mr. T has agreed to reprise his role of Clubber Lang in the upcoming film 'Rocky VI,' reports moviehole.net.

Clubber stepped into the ring with Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky Balboa in 'Rocky III.'

Joining Mr. T (a.k.a. Lawrence Tureaud) for the new sixth installment of the film franchise are returning actors Richard Gant and Burt Young.

Ughh...Richard Gant's over-the-top Don King wannabe performance was one of the reasons I HATED Rocky V!

I've been a major ROCKY fan from the very beginning...

...starting with having watched ROCKY I on CBS in 1979

and seeing ROCKY II through V in the theaters...

But even I think ROCKY VI is overkill. You getting kinda desperate, Sly.

Definitely in there for this one. It'd be cool to have Sage reprise his role. I just hope they don't incorporate a lot of songs like the last few did. The rap in part V is almost unbearable...

spare me

Heavens to Betsy, is Stallone still able to stand? I mean, it's some 27 years since he gave us a convincing impression of a semi-literate bruiser with atrocious nasal tone and bad hair. Spare me this inane man's backward grab to glory. The only decent thing he ever did was marry Brigitte Nielsen, and even she had the sense to flick him.

Part V is just plain unbearable.

I hadn't seen a Rocky movie in years and then when 5 first showed up on TV i watched it and realized how dumb of a movie it was.

It was almost as bad as "Showgirls".

Not that I'm looking forward to it but I can't blame the guy. He puts in an incredible acting performance in Cop Land and what do people do? Talk about how he gained weight to play the part and ignore the movie. What would be good for Sly is to be cast in an off the wall part in a Tarantino movie ala' Travolta or Carradine....lots of publicity and a chance to do something that people might appreciate him for.

Whenever i rewatch the Rocky series, i always stop at Rocky 4 and NEVER watch Rocky 5.

They need to make Rocky 6 into a fun action boxing movie

Sly still looked in decent shape in the Contender, not sure what he still looks like with his shirt off, i hope his skin hasn't gotten too leathery like Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan
