I'm totally on board for this. I think there is a lot of potential with the story. I love the original and would like to see what someone else could do with the material.

Both.

But yeah, Fassbender would be very well suited for that role.

I'm definitely up for a remake. It would also probably give us a BD release of the original. I could see someone like Tom Hardy or Javier Bardem in the Gunslinger role.

I like the suggestions of Fassbender, Hardy and Bardem for the role of the gunslinger.

I just watched the original last night after having finished the HBO series. I'm not sure what I was expecting from such an old movie, but I didn't think it was that great. Maybe the depth of the show ruined it for me, but the movie just seemed to be lacking. Some of the cheesiness didn't help either.

It was interesting to see where the ideas for the show were born though.
