oh, i don't mind the title, and think it fits, but maybe Ring of Fire would have been the obvious first choice for me.
and liquidsky, it's gotta be the Villager. only one i can think of in that area that can remotely be considered a "pub"

I would too, but for a permanent move. Problem is, finding a job there that doesn't require working in customer service or a call center is pretty dang difficult.

I know some of the books i've read about Mr. Cash have been some of the best bios ever in my opinion. So if the movie is even 10% as good as these books, then i think i'll enjoy it.

I've been looking forward to this one since it was announced many months ago, scheduled for a spring release then rescheduled, I'm guessing to give it more Oscar buzz. It never occurred to me to equate this with Ray; lots of biopics came along before that one, so to me it doesn't own any patent on the genre. The trailer I saw looks promising; while Phoenix doesn't quite seem like Cash, I still think he may be very believable in the part; something akin to what I thought about Will Smith in Ali. Cash is a fascinating subject- just read his autobiography earlier this year. A very intelligent, multifasceted man. I'm there for this one.

I just can't get over the fact that little Max from SpaceCamp is playing Johnny Cash, and from what I've seen doing it quite well. Joaquin is about a year younger than I am, but I buy into him being a guy who always seemed older than everyone else.

I have always liked the music of Johnny Cash. I am quite interested in learning more of his life. From what I have seen of the trailer, it looks like I will see it in Theaters.

The story Mangold chose to tell I wasn't so hot on. A very standard biopic, with too much attention on the drug abuse, and not on the joy of the music.
The Folsom Prision sequence is killer though.

Do Phoenix and Witherspoon sing "Jackson"? I love that song!

I just think it's hilarious that a biopic about Johnny Cash is rated PG-13 considering all of his drug and alcohol abuse among other things.
Ray was "R" and people went to see that.
I don't see why the studio made James Mangold stick to PG-13. It still would've done very well even if it was rated R.
Can't wait to see it though. Nice to see Reese doing drama instead of all the bullsh** she's been doing.

yes. that they do.
I saw this during AFI fest and I loved it. Phoenix did one amazing job as Cash. Did all the singing and did it perfect. The story will move you and Phoenix should be get a nom for this. I was even glad they didn't touch Boy named sue.
