Enemy of the State has been on a lot lately, and I didn't realize until now Jack Black was in it.
I remember being surprised when I realized that Liam Neeson was in Krull. Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies) was also in it. |

Call me jealous.
That would have been awesome to meet actors (any) from "Aliens". |
Currently watching 'Back to the Future' and didn't realise that Biff is also the Gym teacher from 'Freaks & Geeks' which I finallay got aroudn to watching a couple of weeks ago.

We all know Hulk Hogan was in the seminal "Suburban Commando", but who remembers the emotional performance given by the Undertaker that nearly stole the show? |
A young Nikki Cox was the "I think he said he was going to the Galleria" girl in Terminator 2:Judgement Day.
|
Just watched Se7en and never recognized the beardless (And slightly lighter) Mark Boone Junior.

I caught some Lawrence Fishburne when I re-watched Cherry 2000 on Encore the other day (brief scene at the beginning). "Sex in the City"'s own Cynthia Nixon has a small role in Amadeus. Now that Hugh Laurie is such a big domestic TV star, it is always fun to catch him in older roles like Sense and Sensibility and Peter's Friends. |
I've seen The King of Comedy about a dozen times, and just recognized Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio(sp?) as an extra.
|
Am I the only one who recognizes Gina Gershon as one of the stuck up rich girls in PRETTY IN PINK?
She has no lines, but she nods to everything Kate Vernon says (the new Battlestar Galactica & Malcolm X). |
Oh yeah, and a young Billy Dee Williams as an airline baggage clerk in Neil Simon's original The Out-of-Towners, starring Jack Lemmon.
|
Re-watched Black Hawk Down awhile back. Knew about Hulk,Legolas, and Obi-Wan being in it, but not Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic!
|
is that paul walker i spy in Pleasantville?
|
I was searching on youtube for cannibal corpse clips, and found out that they are the band featured in Ace Ventura Pet Detective (theres a funny deleted clip that actually has Carey do some death metal style singing.

He was also one of the aliens in Galaxy Quest. |
I was watching "The Other" (1972) and was shocked to see a young John Ritter in there. It took me a good five minutes past his first scene to even realize it was him!
|
Well I must be the only one who never really realized it was Steve Buscemi playing the waiter in Pulp Fiction.
Also, I didn't know that was Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers as one of the Nihilists in The Big Lebowski. Roselyn Sanchez was the island girl in Captain Ron. Peter Stormare as the train hitman in Mercury Rising. And finally, I didn't know that it was Kiera Knightley playing the Queen Amidala look-alike in the Star Wars prequel. |
Gary Oldman in True Romance. He played the Drexl the villan with the crazy dred locks.
|
I bought Solarbabies on DVD this week and didn't realize that Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) was in the movie.

How about Joe Pantoliano (from the Matrix) as one of the crazy brothers in Goonies, almost 15 years earlier?
|
I just watched Almost Famous again and noticed Rainn Wilson (Dwight from The Office) played one of the Rolling Stone editors.
I hardly recognised him behind his 70's porno mustache. |
I didn't realize untill it was on TNT about a month ago, that was Natalie Portman as The President's daughter in Mars Attacks!
|
How about Joe Pantoliano (from the Matrix) as one of the crazy brothers in Goonies, almost 15 years earlier? I had a big double moment like this last week when I re-watched Crimson Tide and spotted Viggo Mortenson as the cheif weapons officer, or whatever, and James Gandolfini as one of the officers. There was a lot of talent in that movie, now that I sit back and think about it :) |
Tons. Ricky Schroeder became "Rick Schroeder" from that movie on, the guy who fixes the radio (Lillo Brancato) went on to a better role in "The Sopranos" as well--and of course there is an unbilled cameo at film's end from none other than the late, incomparable Jason Robards Jr.
Speaking of, try and pick out where Gregory Peck and Martin Balsam are in the remake of Cape Fear. Or who James Cagney, Samuel L. Jackson, Debbie Allen, Mandy Patinkin, Jeff Daniels, Pat (Knute Rockne) O'Brien, Donald ("Make 'em Laugh!") O'Connor, Brad (Chucky/Wormtongue) Dourif, author Norman Mailer and the infamous mutant "sucker" in the trailer scene in The Hills Have Eyes remake (Robert Joy) all play in 1981's Ragtime. (As a topper, both the one-armed man from The Fugitive and John "Cliff" Ratzenberger play policemen in the movie,. Oh yeah, Mandy's cheatin' wife in it is "The Nanny" too. :) ) In fact, there is virtually no speaking role in that movie that doesn't have a connection to a greater role for that actor in the past or future. Even the guy who played Houdini in the NEWSREEL FOOTAGE went on to convict Tim Robbins in The Shawshank Redemption! Very entertaining work of Milos Forman's on that basis alone. |

way to many stars in that movie |
Started watching season 3 of X-Files this week and was suprised to see both Giovanni Ribisi and Jack Black in the third episode titled D.P.O.
|
Just started watching Band of Brothers again, and noticed that Capt. Sobel's (David Schwimmer) assistant is played by Simon Pegg.
|
Jenna Fischer (Pam in The Office)- student who sleeps with Llyoyd in Undeclared
Judy Reyes (Carla in Scrubs)- the ICU nurse towards the end of Bringing Out the Dead Aida Turturro (Janice in The Sopranos) - ER nurse throughout Bringing Out the Dead Michael Williams (Omar in The Wire) - shot drug dealer in Bringing Out the Dead |
Just caught a few minutes of The Replacements on tv the other day and realized that the actor who plays the deaf "replacement" is the same guy who plays Roy on the US version of The Office.
|
Just watched First Blood the other night and saw a young David Caruso as a deputy chasing Rambo.
|
One of the guys on the construction crew in the first Major League is played by Janitor from "Scrubs".
|
The "we ain't found shit!" guy from Spaceballs: Tim Russ, aka Tuvok from Star Trek: Voyager. That blew my mind when I found out.

In Magnolia, Jimmy Gator's (Philip Baker Hall) wife is Melinda Dillon, whom I have only seen in A Christmas Story, where she played Ralphie's mom.
|
Phil Hartman as a reporter interviewing Francis at the end of "Pee Wee's Big Adventure"
|
I was watching the Halloween remake with the commentary on, and Zombie mentioned that the girl who was Judith Myers was also Young Jenny in Forrest Gump. Which was slightly weird to find out, sincee she was really young in Forrest Gump, and she's fully naked in the remake.

Lee Pace...."Ned" on Pushing Daisies" was "Richard Hayes" in "The Good Shepherd"
I had seen TGS in the theater but I didn't know who he was until Pushing Daisies started airing. But I still didn't know it was Lee in TGS until I saw TGS again on cable and I went, 'That's Ned!'. |
This may have been mentioned in here already but Uber Hot Redhead Alicia Witt, was young "ALIA" (Paul's sister) in DUNE ('84)
