On the series finale of Friends -- Jennifer Aniston sits beside Hugh Laurie. I know this was way before the House series started, but it is really weird all the same.
|
Two voice over questions:
1. Is the Nasonex bee Antonio Banderes? It really kind of sounds like him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrUF3JzD9P4 2. Is the go phone gingerbread man Steve Buscemi? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lP-1mO2NxcQ And the "son" sound creapily old. Like a 40 yo man living at home begging his dad for a phone. |

^^Don't know about the first one (Antonio Banderas) but #2 is definitely Steve Buscemi.
His "creepily old" son sounds a lot like Norm MacDonald to me. |
I noticed Jon Krysinski (Jim from The Office) does the new Blackberry Storm ads.
|
Edward James Olmos from Battlestar Galactica...Admiral Adama is also Gaff from Blade Runner or the guy folding origami..

I was flipping through channels recently and saw some weird movie from a few years ago. David Schwimmer was going after Jon Krysinski with a baseball bat while Janene Garafalo stood by screaming. I think Garafalo was playing Schwimmer's ex who was now with Krysinski or something. Anyway the entire scene played like horrific miscasting.
A well-meaning, if a bit thin, rock-bottom alcoholic drama. I came across a free screening promising an appearance by Roger Ebert. Alas, Ebert was in the midst of his health problems and his wife Chazz appeared (seemed nice enough). The only thing interesting about Krasinski was that he WASN'T channeling the 'Jim' character in this role. |
I didn't know until after Mamma Mia was over that the daughter was the same girl in Mean Girls and Veronica Mars first season.

shes also on Big Love (if its the same one im thinking of)

holy shit, i just checked imdb, and Madiline Zima (Mia the jail bait on Californication) is the daughter in Hulk Hogan's masterpiece 'Mr Nanny'. How fuckin weird is that. That movie was one of my faves as a kid. it'll be hard watching that movie the same way lol.

I know it doesn't technically count, but its still pretty funny, but Paul Haggis (the hack who made Crash) was one of the creators of Walker Texas Ranger

One of the uncredited jurors in The Wrong Man is Barney Martin, who played Jerry's dad on Seinfeld. I knew he looked familiar, but I had to double-check on IMDB.

Re: The "I didn't realize that was him/her" thread
Geoffrey Horne was Lt. Joyce, the 3rd commando in Bridge on the River Kwai and Sid, the old dude who bangs Kristi Swanson in Big Daddy. Mind blown.

Michael Fassbender is in Band of Brothers.
I had it on in the background a couple of weeks ago when Spike had a marathon and happened to watch it when he was on screen in the episode The Breaking Point. According to IMDB, he was in 7 episodes (Currahee, Crossroads, Bastogne, The Breaking Point, The Last Patrol, Why We Fight, and Points) |

I know we have two different threads for this, and I've posted in the other one, but this was bumped more recently and is longer so...
Just saw LA Confidential again, and the young guy who gets busted with the girl in the early part of the movie is Simon "The Mentalist" Baker. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...nfidential.jpg Spoiler:

Re: The "I didn't realize that was him/her" thread
Was watching Cold in July (2014) the other day and didn't realize there are two actors named Michael C. Hall. I honestly thought it was the John Hughes Michael C. Hall, and was thinking "wow he sure has changed over the years."
I don't watch TV (never seen Dexter) so I guess that was the reason I wasn't aware of another Michael C. Hall. |
Re: The "I didn't realize that was him/her" thread
Everyone now famous was in Band of Brothers. Tom Hardy was another.

Hey, I got John Hughes mixed up with John Holmes in one of the threads. That almost makes us eskimo brothers.

Saw Black Hawk Down again recently and was surprised to see Jamie Lannister in it.
