I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean, but what about in The Royal Tennenbaums right after Luke Wilson slits his wrists and is found by Bill Murray's sidekick kid. Elliott Smith's "Needle in the Hay" ends abruptly to add to the shock of the suicide attempt.

Also high school high had one with a record in the scene when they're at the dance and Jon Lovitz puts on the cowboy music.

In Howard Stern's Private Parts, Howard Drops some records on the player and the record abruptly stops. Pretty funny scene.
