Watched my Deluxe Edition last night, and still love it. "SWEAR TO ME!" :D

Brent L 10-21-05 04:02 PM

Yes, "SWEAR TO ME!" is one of the greatest quotes in film history.

RocShemp 10-21-05 04:06 PM

Although it was mentioned in this thread before, it merits repeating that asshole Batman rocks!

I've watched this film three times since I bought it (and like four times in theatres) and this movie never gets old.

fryinpan1 10-21-05 04:47 PM

I saw Batman Begins for the first time last night. It was good, but I still prefer the two Tim Burton movies.

Rival11 10-26-05 08:44 PM

I really, really, really enjoyed this film.

A ton of people have their Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, & Matrix, and now I finally have my personal favorite.

Better than the Burton films, easily - and that's saying a lot.

Did I dislike anything? Not at all but I do have a small gripe.....I would have liked to seen the Scarecrow character fleshed out more and have more screen time/involvement.

Excellent ending and I never saw it coming.

Loved it!!!

It's okay Rival, you can have them all. ;) The original Star Wars trilogy is my favorite set of movies. But I love this film too. Also loved Gladiator.

Yeah, I got my Deluxe version with the 3D face cover the other day and I had actually forgotten how great this moive is. And let me just say that the music, which was criticized earlier int he thread for not being a "theme", was even better this time around. It was dark, mature, and to the point much like the film overall.

I must admit I didn't think too highly of the score the first time I saw the movie but on repeat viewings and listening to the CD I've come to appreciate it a lot more. It's now one of my favourites.

This is one of those movies that I just dont get tired of watching. The end still gives me goosebumps every time I watch it.

my only beef is that the weapon to turn water into mist would have killed everyone in its reach, i know it's a fantasy, but it was hard to let go of it.

How about everyone still stepping into puddles everywhere yet the water is supposed to be gone?

sixerb 10-27-05 10:55 PM

lol, yeah, that too, lol... i just couldn't get over them fighting while it would be sucking them dry, lol

Finally watched it over the weekend, and was very impressed. Easily the best Batman movie. Thought Christian Bale did a great job. Looking forward to the sequel.

I agree with all of that except the "it was good" part.

taa455 01-17-06 02:04 PM

Loved it. Although I haven't seen King Kong yet, I'll say this was my favorite movie of 2005.

Just rewatched the Burton Batman's for the first time in a decade, not nearly as good as I remembered.

As such, they now rank:

1. Batman Begins
2. Mask of the Phantasm
3. Return of the Joker
4. Batman
5. Batman Returns
6. Batman Forever
..
..
..
..
..
99. Batman & Robin

..in my book at least.

I think my list would be exactly the same. I hate to choose between Mask of the Phantasm and Begins though.

Begins was definitely my favorite movie of last year - and it was far and away superior to KK, imo.

I finally seen it. I loved the first half when its about Bruce but when he put on the Batman costume I lost interest fast. The best Batman will always be the Batman animated seies by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.

raven56706 05-08-06 07:09 AM

wow... its about time you saw it

After now having seen KK, I agree with you. BB was a better movie.

As long as we're reviving this thread, I feel compelled to throw some love toward the new Batmobile. I barely noticed my first few times through, just thinking it looked weird, but that thing is bad ass.

The Batmobile featurette is probably my favorite feature on the SE DVD...they built the damn thing, and it's fully functional...filmed at 90mph in some cases. I even got "my kid" the batmobile toy. Well done.

I hope they don't drastically change it for the next movie.

The animated Batman is my favorite as well but that doesn't mean that Begins didn't kick all kinds of ass.
