Dead center, maybe a few rows back. I never sit in the lower section (closer to the screen). I usually try to position myself directly between the surround sound speakers.

I can't imagine sitting in the front row at a stadium theater.

I try to sit dead center or close to it so I don't have to tilt up head up to see the screen. When I can tell the theater is going to be packed, I usually sit on the aisle seat in one of the center rows so I can get up easily to piss and have an easier time leaving the theater after the movie.

I try to find a seat usually in the middle or the end of the seats but not that far from the screen

At or near the very back... I'm very susceptible to motion sickness

Usually along the right hand side wall of the theatre (like to lean my head against the wall during boring flicks.) Usually in one of the middle rows or edging closer to the rear.

Aisle seat, in a row toward the middle but slightly closer to the back of the theater.

Left side of the theater. I don't remember the last time I sat in the middle, it just doesn't work for me.

unfortunately disabled seating for me, its such a shitty spot. I should demand free admission since I bring my own seat

I generally count the rows from front to back, divide by my age, add 3 because it's a fun number, and then multiply by the number of people I'm going with. That's the row I'll sit in, counting back from the middle railing splitting the front neck-breaking seats and the normal-people seats.

Once I get to that row, I'll play the ping pong ball game like on Bozo's show. I'll take a handfull of popcorn, throw it into the row, and whichever seat catches the most is the one I sit on.

This is all null and void if there is an attractive girl sitting in a seat somewhere.

The last row in the center. I get there early.

I don't like people sitting behind me. Paranoid.

Dead center pretty much. I look for the aisle at the middle of the theatre where the lower tier breaks and the upper tier begins. That way there are no chairs in front of me and I get a lot of leg room. I also place myself at the center of the screen.

I use to choose middle way up and dead center but now, i prefer the seats just as you come into the theater that are just before those insanely close seats at the very bottom of the screen. It's just nice to be able to stretch my legs out & get all nice and comfy. I do have to pull them back every now and again as people walk by but, it's really not that bad a deal. Plus, should I leave & come back, there's no prob finding my seat.

They doesn't bother me. At least s/he doesn't kick my chair and give me the feeling they are looking at the back of my head (just the top). And I don't do anything down below them worth looking at. I have even become immune to the ticking noise.

Me too! I try to get an end seat if I feel like I have to go to the bathroom, otherwise in the center.

Generally dead center, but if I'm playing hookey and catching a matinee by myself there are some theaters where I prefer an aisle seat - the armrest on the seat in front of me makes a perfect footrest.

Being 6"7, the sides are usually what I take so I can stretch the long legs.

If I arrive early for a stadium showing, I'll get the very top row. Middle seat right underneath the projector. Plenty of room for the legs too.
But if it's hyped blockbuster I'm going to, Forget it. You're ALWAYS going to have that large group of idiots who always arrive 5 minutes late who ALWAYS go straight to the top row, but have to stand there like morons and wait for the theater to lighten to realize that the seats are taken. Can't stand these guys.

I am like most of you and like to sit in the center, but ususally no matter where I first sit, I have to get up and move. I am just over 5 ft. tall and someone taller (everyone is taller) usually sits right in front of me. So, I am either changing seats with my husband, or moving into a whole new area. If the theater is packed, I am SOL.
