If it is done, I hope they do it like when Jamie Lee Curtis came back to the Halloween franchise. They just skipped from Part 2 to H20, ignoring all of the others.
Jaws 4 gets a rap as being the worst sequel ever made, but it's miles above Jaws 3-D. At least Part 4 was kind of fun.

That actually sounds pretty cool. They could even have a "Brody Cameo". Assuming they skip events in 3 and 4 as if they never happened.

As for Benchley, I'd rather not have him write (tho it kinda gives the film, if it ever happens, a little more credibility). I've read his White Shark and I'm going to pick up Creature, but I have to say, White Shark was pretty bad. Not quite Meg bad because Meg didn't take itself too seriously. And with his recent "I love sharks" stance, it may bias his writings to make the shark a more sympathetic character.

I've never seen Jaws 3-D or 4. Seen Jaws 2 twice and the first about six times.
How about Gus Van Sant does a shot for shot remake of the original Jaws, but in black and white?

Howza 'bout a prequel series leading up to the Shark showing up in Amity? It could show how the shark got so big, why it's so mean, and why it likes eating people. It could also show Brody's rise to Police Chief. They could start him out as young boy.....
