What was this movie?

I just rented Blood Simple, and I could have sworn that this scene was in it. But it wasn't.

A guy visits his ex-wife. She's a fanatic about football, and all her conversation is about football minutia. Daddy says she's "high strung."

your going to need more clues to determine which movie your referring to. Do you remember any of the actors who starred in the film? that may help quite a bit.

Wow, I know that scene. . .I think it is definitely Frances McDormand as the ex-wife. . .It's not "Lone Star", is it?. . .

*edit*I see johnglass had the same thought while I was typing.

Yeah, Lone Star was it. Thanks!

I guess I got my rural Texas murder movies with Frances McDormand mixed up.
