For as evil as Darth Vader is....
In the beginning of A New Hope, isn't Leia kinda flip with him? You'd think she'd be a little more afraid of him, seeing as he slaughtered ALL the jedi, unless, of course, the Emperor turned the whole galaxy orwellian.
Next question....Where did all the pseudo-nazi empire guys, Tarkin, the dude Vader chokes, sprout up from? Why did the empire not continue using clones for everything?
SHIT....this just occurred to me....the whole "general contracter" debate in Clerks kinda takes on a new dimension....just that.

1. For good or ill, it's made a bit more clear in Episode III that Palpatine was the big 'evil'... not so much Vader. Watch A New Hope again -- Tarkin even orders the dude around. Leia is not afraid of him because she is a Senator in the Republic Senate and isn't going to cower before a glorified bodyguard who has no official rank. I think Episode V watered down this theme a bit, with Vader choking people to death left and right -- but it is clearly there in Episode IV.
2. Palpatine had friends, he had hundreds of Senators on his side, aides, guards, and other people loyal to his cause. It just stands to reason that those people would be given positions of power. Clones are fine for soliders, but why would you want them in beaurocratic positions?
3. Lucas has said that he introduced the Geonosian 'bug' people in Episode II to show who was building the Death Star, so people wouldn't be so upset about the Clerks debate. (Yes, he was saying this tongue-in-cheek, but you get the drift...)

If he made it up as he went along..which I dont believe..and btw..MANY directors change things on the spot while making a film...I still say what Lucas pulled off is pure genius.

^ What he said. It's quite clear that this wasn't made up as he went along. There was a clear story to be told, some of the smaller details and subplots may have changed, but the overall story-arc has always been the same.

She was a smart ass to Tarkin and Vader. But when that Droid with the needles came into her cell she peed her gown. Also, Tarkin pwn3d her when he blew up that planet after she blabbed the Rebel info.

Vader didn't kill "all" the Jedi... just a handful that were at the temple. Order 66 wiped out the Jedi.

Actually all of the stormtroopers are clones. I even saw an article from 1978 describing the stormtroopers as clones. All of the officers are regular people, so when someone like Biggs or Han (EU stuff) goes to the academy they are training to be officers. The "Death Squad" guys on the Death Stars ans Star Destroyers are human too. Its safe to assume that any of the grunts under a helmet in the Imperial Army are clones.

If you look closely in AOTC and ROTS, theres many different kinds of clones and sizes. They don't all look exactly like Jango.
And has stated, there were different kinds of Stormtroopers, a lot we're recruited or signed up for service.

I'm not sure how many clones the cloners can make from stored samples of Jengo's DNA but after AOTC, they couldn't get more. It wouldn't be hard to find another or several other DNA donors for new clones so that could explain different sizes or different voices. They must all be a certain height requirement since Leia commented that Luke was small for a trooper.

Well he did kill a lot of the Jedi in the Temple, just because you don't see it doesn't mean it didn't happen. To show him killings the Younglings would have been too much, because it would be hard to accept his redemption later on.

My reasons for Clones being different:
Once Jango was killed in AOTC..it stands to reason you cant make clones from clones...its like xeroxing xeroxes...each subsequent copy made from a copy is more inferior than the next.. so, for ME its understandable that different people were used to produce clones...hence, explanation for various looking troopers and sizes later on
Not all Jedi were killed... a great many though which cause them to go into hiding...hence the reason why Obi won reprogrammed the codes in that machine to alert all remaining Jedi to go into hiding and stay away...he even told Yoda that it will take years (or a very long time) before those codes are broken...
I know I may not have every single answer and detail off the top of my head..BUT, C'mon.... its STAR WARS...its not that hard to follow..
