Wow, just checked online for the theater I'm going to tommorow night, 8 midnight showings, only one sold out. Muvico Egyption 24 in Hanover, MD.
Can't tell which auditorium is which, but I'm sure mine is sold out since I bought the tickets last month.
Wish I would have waited now.

BUY TICKETS - 12:01am, 12:01am, 12:01am, 12:01am, 12:01am
5 shows sold out, just added a 12:05. I think I might go to dedham now, they have 1 show, not sold out, and like < 5 minutes from my home.. They weren't selling advanced tix when I got mine.
Might just eat them, and get the others, unless somebody is interested in some freebies, for 2 to: Showcase Cinemas Randolph in Mass.
I got tix at a closer theatre so am giving away my other two, to somebody with a mass address.. The thread is over in hot deals, first person to respond to that thread gets them.

I live east of Columbus, OH and the theater closest to me has a bunch of midnight showings:
12:01am, 12:02am, 12:03am, 12:04am, 12:05am, 12:06am, 12:07am, 12:08am, 12:09am, 12:10am, 12:11am, 12:12am, 12:13am, 12:14am
12:01 - 12:06 are sold out.
I will probably go on Thursday afternoon.

I bought tix for 4:30pm Thurday. When I bought the tix a few days ago I mistakenly thought the movie opened in wide release Wednesday and that I could avoid the first day crazies. Oops. Still, I'm not going to bother showing up more than 30 minutes before the movie starts. Sucky seats, oh well. Just not that important to me.
I was at opening day of "Jedi" in '83 and it was a great hoot seeing everyone dressed up. But getting older makes being around that stuff a little less fun.

there's so many showings here tomorrow I'm not too worried. one theater has a showing starting ever 30 minutes from 10am-1pm, then about every 45 minutes after that until around midnight
other theaters are similar but with a bit longer wait between starts due to less screens

Our one DLP auditorium is sold out for the midnight and 3am shows. At that same theater, 2 non-DLP showings at 12:01 are also sold out.
The remainder of the non-DLP are still available, but the DLP 4:30pm, 7:30pm, and 10:30pm are sold out. The 10:30am and 1:30pm showings have a few seats still available. I can even see the number available. It was 55 and 54 respectively about an hour ago, now down to 51 and 52.
It's kinda fun watching them go down... by ones.

Hopefully, Thursday won't be bad.
I'm planning on going to the noon showing (early bird matinee - $4), and, if Attack of the Clones was any indication, it should be just fine...
(EDIT: According to Cinemark.com, every showing for Thursday is still available. Nothing sold out yet.)
