EDIT: The director in charge has me quite interested. I always thought he was the coolest member of the Broken Lizard team in the movies. Any chance that some of the other team members might make appearances?
Not only did the Broken Lizard team tinker with the script, but they all make apperances during the movie.

I have to agree. Like many others I had little hopes or desires in this movie, but damn that is one well crafted and entertaining trailer. Hopefully the movie lives up to it.

As for casting, I'm on board for most. JS looks great, but I would have preferred a brunette. Burt? I got a giant grin on my face when they announced Willie Nelson as Uncle Jessie. Now that is inspired. I have my reservations about Roscoe and Enis from the trailer. Where was Cooter?

Not to say some haven't been good, but the only one that really stands out to me is the one in Way of the Gun, simply because it was an entirely different take(and quite effective). The car chases and more particularly the jumps is what I liked about the show the most as a kid, and it's excellent to see them in the trailer spiced up a little more, and still using a real car. Quite a few times in the show I could see that General didn't land so well, I'm sure they could have saved some bucks on smashed Chargers but looks like we're getting the real deal.
The Bourne Supremacy had the best car chase sequence in memory, IMO. More recent than Way of the Gun.

I'm just happy they didn't sell out and make the General Lee a Mini Cooper...

The only problem I have with the film (and it's not even that big a problem) is with some of the casting choices. I like Sean William Scott, but I think especially with the broken lizard involvement, they should've used that kid from the beginning of Super Troopers for Bo. I know he's not the best actor, but he's good enough and Jessica Simpson isn't much of an actress either (I don't think she fits the part for that matter)... otherwise, this should be fun.

Dammit! I hate to admit this...but it actually looks like fun.

And Linda Carter still looks hot.

She's playing Daisy Duke....I don't think she needs to be able to act, I don't recall Catherine Bach's Oscar speech very well, how did it go.

Its a movie based on the freakin Dukes of Hazard, all Daisy was meant for was eye candy...and JS fits that well enough.

I have been looking forward to this since I found out Jay and the Broken Lizard crew were involved. Great trailer and it looks like this movie will be a lot of fun. As far as the car chases/stunts, I read where Jay hired Dan Bradley who was behind the car chases/stunts for The Bourne Supremacy. Can't wait 'til August!

I had like 0 desire to see the movie before I saw the trailer (never even seen an episode of the show), but I must say I am now curious. Not sure if I will venture to the theater to see it, but it has moved to a strong maybe now.

I saw the trailer before "House of Wax" this weekend. This movie looks like total shit. Even worse now that I've seen a trailer for it.

"THE" most effective trailer in recent memory? Are you kidding? What is so original or different about this trailer? How about the Sin City trailer? Completely unique, phenomenal music, at the very least it stands out & makes a viewer wonder what on earth the movie is about.

And for everyone raving about the car chases being cool b/c they are not CGI, what movie has CGI car chases? While CGI is out of hand & ruining film, I think at least car chases are still old fashioned & that is what they look like in the trailer. Tired old fashioned car chases.

Ahh, haven't seen Bourne Supremacy yet. I'm way behind on my watching, if I missed it in the theaters I probably haven't seen it. I'll make sure I catch that one though.

Not really, it is the style and uniqueness of the movie that sells that trailer.

The Matrix Reloaded
Bad Boys II
The Fast and the Furious
2 Fast 2 Furious
Gone In 60 Seconds (the remake, of course)

May I continue?

I don't like dime-a-dozen blondes with big fake tits... plus, she's stupid and I find that quite unattractive.

oddly enough, most of the CG in the car chase scenes were either to enhance explosions a bit or else to add background traffic. There was some cg in it here and there though he put as much as he could on film and probably more than most people would assume - there's a featurette on the effects in the DVD that I found pretty interesting.

I thought the original was mostly non-CGI while the opposite was true of the sequel. Anyone else?

Ahhh, that does explain it somewhat. I've never seen any of those movies except for Reloaded, which I try to block out of my memory. But I thought half the appeal of TF&F was that it was "real" cars in the film as well as Gone in 60 Seconds.

I still fail to see what is so unique about this trailer or movie though.

Gone in 60 Seconds. That jump towards the end on the bridge was all CGI.
