Dukes of Hazard trailer up

http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/thedukesofhazzard.html

Just the good ol' boys.

You know, At first I thought this was going to be a terrible idea. Then the cast was listed and I thought it was going to be far worse than terrible. Now that I see this trailer, I'm actually going to pay to watch this. It looks entertaining and the car stunts actually look like something that has been missing in this film day and age.

I agree, it looks fun, but I will probably wait for the DVD.

harosa 05-06-05 06:14 AM

It looks like it faithfully follows the look and style of the original show, I smiled when I saw some non-CG car jumps and it even has flaming arrows which is cool beyond belief. And what can be said about Simpson in a bikini, makes the whole trailer for me.

Jackskeleton 05-06-05 10:09 AM

Oh yeah, one of the highlights of that trailer... Wonder Woman and she still looks great. mmmmmmmm muffins.

Geofferson 05-06-05 10:09 AM

I'm there opening night!

(although I'm still rather skeptical since it took forever for this trailer to come out)

mikewendt 05-06-05 10:27 AM

Looks like a fun movie...

Spanky BananaPants 05-06-05 10:35 AM

That does look like loads of fun. I'll be there in the theater for this one.

Two of the most promising things about this trailer:

1) Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg is an inspired choice.

2) REAL car stunts...NO CGI!

jeffkjoe 05-06-05 10:57 AM

DUKES OF HAZZARD with Stiffler and the Jackass dude?

I'm so there.

Plus, Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse is perfect casting, as far as I'm concerned.

And no CGI car stunts gets a huge :thumbsup::thumbsup: from me!

And you just know he had a blast playing that role.

I was never a fan of the show when it was on TV so I doubt I'll catch the movie, but at least it looks like they've done a good job with it.

Same here except that, after watching the preview, I still think it looks terrible.

Wow, I feel exactly the same way. I sceptical even as I clicked the link, the whole idea just seemed ridiculous. After watching the trailer, I find that it IS ridiculous in all the ways that just might make it work. Looks like a helluva fun movie.

And yes, HUGE  for the car stunts, haven't jumps like that in movie in sometime.

And the new issue of Entertainment Weekly wonders "Why Isn't Anyone Going To the Movies This Year?"...:sarcasm:

raven56706 05-06-05 12:36 PM

This looks much better than I thought at least the trailer is perfect. the jumps with the car are great.

covenant 05-06-05 02:15 PM

I hated to click the link, but by god it looks great. Won me over.

So does the General Lee still have the confederate flag on it? I recall some controversy about its use and people speculating it would be removed in the name of political correctness.

I am on dial-up,so downloading trailers takes forever and is pretty bad. So I didn't view it yet.

But being a big Dukes fan since I was a kid. I hope the film turns out good entertaining fun and not like a piece of crap like other 'retro-tv' movies like Starsky & Hutch(what an unfunny boring piece of crap that was!).

darqleo 05-06-05 02:52 PM

I want that 2+ minutes of my life back.
