No Orlando Bloom please.
Clive Owen is easily the best choice to take over from Pierce, but I would like to see him do at least another movie, if not not two, as Bond.

I do not want clive owen, did you see king arthur and beyond borders. the guy has no star power. is he a good actor absolutely but not the charm of bond. bond should be tough, a killer, but should also have charisma. i like the idea of a younger james bond who has just joined mi6. it would juice up the ormula a little. but another movie with pierce brosnan would be fine but no invisible car crap. orlando bloom is a little wimpy, i kinda like colin farrell, pierce brosnan is also irish., farrell has a bit of toughness to him lives life to the fullest like bond. but no clive owen

Pierce Brosnan, who reportedly had been ousted from the role of James Bond by MGM and EON, the company that produces the Bond movies, may return to the role after all, according to reports appearing in British tabloids today (Tuesday). Many quoted a posting on the Dark Horizons website from someone claiming to be an MGM insider, who wrote: "The buzz is that, ultimately, the filmmakers would like Pierce Brosnan back [for the upcoming Casino Royale]. All the stuff we heard about Brosnan being out is just a ploy from both camps. The negotiations between Brosnan and EON came to an end because, in the last year, things were up in the air, thanks to all the organizational changes taking place," (a reference to Sony's acquisition of MGM). "Sony are not in a gambling mood," the message continued. "They could lose more with an unknown actor, or with an experienced but unpopular actor. They're well aware that you just can't place any actor in this role." The report comes only days after it was widely reported that Clive Owen was being courted to play Bond, something that Owen himself has denied. In the latest development, the Scottish website FerryAve.com reported today that Scottish soap star Gavin Carlys had landed the Bond role. "I suppose I just got lucky," Carlys was quoted as saying. "I'm happy I was chosen for the role. I test-screened my bollocks off."

still an internet rumor, but the best of the bunch. Maybe they worked out their differences about the direction of the series. If so he could potentially stay for a few more. Brosnan = Bond

Well, I could buy nancy boy Orlando Bloom as a young Roger Moore Bond, but not as a young Sean Connery.
And Clive Owen as Bond would be cool since he's got a tough but sophisticated vibe that only Connery has brought to the role so far. I could understand Owen skipping this though. He has the talent to be a great artist rather than a movie star, so it would kind of depend on his priorities.

Bond Speculators
Will Pierce Brosnan return as 007? After all the denials, he may return for two more films
http://www.ew.com/ew/report/0,6115,1..._10_0_,00.html

(THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN PARACHUTE Brosnan may reap more rewards before retiring his gun)
Would all the nice young British actors please put down those martini glasses and step away from the Aston Martin? According to a report in Variety magazine, rumors that Pierce Brosnan's reign as 007 has come to an end may have been premature.
Speculation about who'll play the title role in the next James Bond film has been simmering for months, reaching a fever pitch in the last few days as Sony completes its deal to acquire MGM, the studio behind the Bond franchise. While British tabloids this week reported little-known Daniel Craig (Enduring Love) was about to ink a deal to play the dashing British agent, Variety quoted U.S. sources as saying he was no more a frontrunner than previously mentioned hopefuls Clive Owen, Dominic West, Gerard Butler, and Julian McMahon.
Furthermore, the entertainment trade publication reported on other sources as saying Brosnan — who has played Bond in the series' last four films — was back in the picture, working on a $40 million deal with the Broccoli family (who control the franchise) to return to the coveted role for two more pictures. Other rumors had Brosnan returning for only one film, which would be followed in quick succession by a second flick introducing a new 007.
MGM denied any decision had been made, while Brosnan's reps denied the actor was in negotiations to die another day.
