Really? I watched BE after the Jacket and must say, like the others above, it was a much more entertaining film. Not to sleight the Jacket(comments above), but I see myself popping BE more often than the Jacket or Donnie Darko.

I'd definitely replay Donnie Darko more than either of the others, simply because I manage to discover something new with each viewing. There are so many subtle layers to that movie (the parallels to Scorsese's Last Temptation, for example) that I really dig.

As for Butterfly Effect...I didn't like the haphazard taboo subjects that were tossed in throughout seemingly for shock value, and the acting is to grating on my nerves for repeat viewings. Just not my cup of tea.

For me, while watching The Jacket, I couldn't shake comparisons to 12 Monkeys out of my head. DD I've seen once and wasn't too impressed. But it was intriguing enough that I'd give it another viewing.

I thought Craig was solid in "Munich". I got Layer Cake from CH, haven't seen it yet. I'm now looking forward to him as 007.

I also have The Jacket in my netflix queue. Looks interesting.

I'd love to see an extras packed 2 disc set for The Jacket come out, but I doubt that'll happen. This was my fourth time through, and I still loved it.

i agree, donnie darko was rather weak, and i'm a huge time travel fan. this was nothing special to me and i don't see the hype behind. it was a decent flick but nothing great. BE i enjoyed to as well as the jacket.

Just watched this off of CinemaxHD (chopped to 1.78:1 to "fit my screen" ) and thought it was middle of the road.

I read in one of the DVDTalk reviews that there was some alternate endings on the dvd. I don't want to rent it just to see these so would anyone care to fill me in?

They had 3 different endings.
Spoiler:
Each was just a 2-3 second addition to the ending of the film. One was a shot of Starks(Brody) on the table of the Army hospital tent after being shot in the beginning of the film with his eyes open, possibly alive. One was Starks being woken up by Kristofferson's voice. And one was the same shot of Starks on the Army hospitals table but with a doctor closing his eyes with their hand because he was dead.

Almost the entire cast was at the Sundance screening last year at this time. It was one of my favorite movies at the festival.
