One of my favorites, I tried seeing it here in NJ, but halfway through there was a power outage. Then on a business trip last December in Torrance CA, I drove up to Santa Monica to catch it. Just received the DVD for Christmas. It's not slow at all. I felt like I really got to know all of the characters. Not to mention parts of it were hysterical. I wish there were more films like this.

The movie was probably a little slow.
But slow and steady wins the race.
I really liked this movie a lot. I could relate to the actors, even the "dwarf" (remember ... he's not a "midget", but a "dwarf")
After I rented it, I bought it new two days after -- that's how much I liked it.
