It's made for TV? Darn...I was hoping this would be a big theatrical release. The last made-for-TV Muppet special sucked (it was a Christmas one), but the last few theatrical releases have been pretty good (Christmas Carol, Treasure Island, Muppets From Space).

I thought this was going to be a movie release not a TV special thus the reason I posted it in here.

Disney bought the Muppets this past year. They want to reintroduce the franchise to the public, without any of the risk that comes with a theatrical release.

It's a fat May sweeps spot, so that's a good sign. If the TV movie gets some high numbers, the Mouse House will go nuts reintroducing Muppet material into the public. Disney wants the Muppets big again badly.

So, come next May, support it!

I read about this. Enough with the remakes. Treasure Island, Christmas Carol, and Wizard of Oz? Give me more originals like Muppets from Space, or the original flicks.

IMDB lists Tarantino in it as himself.

Some other casting
Jeffrey Tambor as The Wizard
Queen Latifah as Auntie Em
David Alan Grier as Uncle Henry

I thought the Muppet Christmas Carol was superb. The Treasure island was okay. It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie was absolutely horrible.

what about it? Better her than Diana Ross, she's a better singer and hotter too. No one could ever top Richard Pryor as the coked out Wizard though.
