I don’t think it’s so bad to have films/shows that are separate, but they should decide one way or another rather than cherrypicking what is and isn’t part of a shared universe and having multiple universes running concurrently.

I really wish NOTHING was connected and they made everything standalone and gave fuck-all to continuity. Problem solved.

Like I said I wouldn’t have a problem with that if that’s what they settled on doing. As it is now it’s a mix from each category and comes across as disjointed and I would imagine somewhat confusing to casual fans.

Ezra Miller claims the Flash movie is still happening. Interview with Chinese press during a press junket.

I'll believe it when there's an actual announcement. I'd be surprised if Miller is brought back at this point since by the time this actually is out it'll be far removed from Justice League and he wasn't that much of a standout.

Erza Miller and the guy who played Cyborg were terrible on Justice League. I really have no interest in seeing him reprise the role of Flash.

Rumor: The Flash to begin filming this November
https://thegww.com/exclusive-wbs-the...duction-start/
Take this news with a grain of salt though. It’s not exactly being reported by a major Hollywood trade.
The guy reporting this lives in Enid, Oklahoma.

IDK, I think it's legit site. They've had scoops in the past.
However, Fantastic Beasts 3 was supposed to also start production in the fall, co-starring Ezra Miller. If this is true, maybe Warner is putting Fantastic Beasts 3 further on the back-burner, Miller won't have a big role in that movie or they're going to re-cast the role in The Flash.

It would seem so. And I agree, the last one was bad. I had read Rowling is still re-writing so likely the production on the third one will be pushed back (again). Last ditch effort otherwise the 4th and 5th ones will end up on a streaming service.

'Flash' Shocker: Ezra Miller Writing Script in Bid to Stay On as Star (Exclusive)
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/he...d-star-1194937
While I liked Miller in the role (and his enthusiasm for it), Flash doesn't need a 'dark' take, so if the role is recast, okay by me. Dark works for Batman but not for The Flash.
In a bid to keep himself involved as the Scarlet Speedster, actor Ezra Miller is taking a hands-on approach to The Flash.
Miller is taking a stab at writing the script for the Warner Bros. project, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. He has teamed up with Grant Morrison, the acclaimed comics author, to pen a draft that could determine if he stays on as star, playing crimefighter Barry Allen.
The development has bubbled up from a clash of creative visions. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, who have been on board the project since January 2018, have a light-hearted approach to the material (and even hail from that sort of background, with credits like Spider-Man: Homecoming and Game Night). And, as sources note, that is the general track favored by Warners, which scored a billion-dollar hit with Aquaman by going the fun spectacle route and is seeing strong buzz on Shazam!, which is wearing its “superheroics is fun” on its sleeve .
Miller is said to want a darker take on the material.
The two sides have been working on compromises since last year but Miller took the initiative to tackle the story himself. He partnered with Morrison, with Warners hiring the two to script their take. It is a rare move for an actor to be so invested in a superhero project that they switch hats, but Miller sees himself as deeply committed to the character.
The script could be submitted to the studio as early as next week.
But there could be a lot riding on it. If Warners chooses against Miller's take on the hero, the actor could part ways with the project. Additionally, and fittingly for a hero who races to beat the clock, there is a countdown scenario here as well: according to one insider, Miller’s holding deal on Flash expires May.

There shouldn't be a movie either. The TV show has pretty much explored the Flash lore to no end and a movie with Barry Allen is not going to add anything different. If they go with the third Flash, Wally West, then they may have something to work with.

Can we lose Wonder Woman off the thread title since Gal Gadot has absolutely nothing to do with this movie?

Apparently he’s co-writing with Grant Morrison, which has me a little more interested.
