I watched this movie on HBO over the weekend and was quite impressed. I believe it had a short theatrical stint back in 2002, but I didn't think much of it. It's a fairly light heist movie with a good sense-of-humor and solid cast (Christian Slater, Tim Allen, Richard Dreyfuss, Portia De Rossi). Ebert's 2 1/2 star review is here for those interested.

I bought this blind when the it came out since I'm a big Slater fan (even with the crud he's been doing lately). It was pretty good.

I watched it because Tim Allen was in it and was quite impressed. This is one of the better movies barely anybody talks about.

I watched it when it came out on dVD, and thought it was pretty good..I will probably buy it as soon as I can find it cheap

It's been a while since I've seen Who is Cletis Tout? 2002, to be precise. I was one of the very few to see it in theaters (which it took 2 years to get to, it is copyrighted 2000).

While my memory of the movie's details range from fuzzy to nil, my impressions are still clear: dull, derivative, superficial, plodding, insincere . . .

It was, according to my 2002 theater-going rankings, the worst film of the year. I actually enjoyed Feardotcom much much more than Who is Cletis Tout? and the former is just as low on my 2002 list.
