That trailer looks great although it looks like he's using some of the old charcter molds from Nightmare before Christmas

Wow. That was a good trailer (and much better than the trailer for Burton's Charlie...).

Hopefully if the film is good, it will find an audience in theaters unlike The Nightmare Before Christmas (which now has a huge cult following now among teenagers).

Great trailer. I'm enthused. But is this true stop-motion or CG made to look like stop-motion? The facial expressions look too fluid for stop-motion. Either way, I'm jazzed.

Great trailer.
I wonder if a re-release of Nightmare B4 X-Mas will be out late this year to cash in on the hype for The Corpse Bride. We could use an anamorphic version, couldn't we?

I'm still psyched for this movie but that trailer doesn't impress me as it does everyone else. Is this CGI or stop-motion?

I was kind of hoping it would have at least a little bit of a different look from NBX.

I was bummed to find out just how honest you were being. The characters and sets look amazing but it's a shame there aren't more fresh ideas when it comes to this film. I'm still every interested as I LOVED Nightmare but it'll be hard getting into this film as much since I'll constantly be thinking of the other film.

Honestly, I don't mind. He's obviously retained the same style, but I think it's more derivative of the fact that that's how Tim Burton visualizes these things versus them just leeching off old models.

Anyway, can't wait to see it. I love Nightmare so, I probably shouldn't get my hopes up TOO high. But, on another hand, next October is giving us 2 stop motion animated films, this and Wallace and Gromit, so I'll be pleased regardless.

Corpse Bride (Coming Halloween 05) - New Tim Burton Trailer

Trailer

I for one am I huge fan of the Nightmare Before Christmas, and this movie looks to be a lot of fun. The animation looks so much smoother too. Can't wait!

Looks very cool. I have one stupid question though. Is this done in "claymation" like Nightmare before Christmas or is it CGI made to look like Claymation? The characters movements seem to be so smooth that I can't tell exactly which it is. Could also be the small size of the trailer though.

Agreed, I can't tell if it's CGI or stop-motion or a combination of both.

Full Trailer (new) just aired on Adult Swim. I'm sure MovieBox will have it up in a matter of hours.

Looks like a great deal of fun.

Just saw the newest trailer for this and I'm even more impressed. It has a shot at out-doing Nightmare Before Christmas

I attended the panel at Comic-Con. First off, they showed an intro that Tim filmed saying he couldn't make it to San Diego because he was working on this movie and finishing up on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (I guess he filmed the intro a while ago). But he did say he'd like to come to Comic-Con soon

They showed a scene from the movie and it's VERY COOL. One of the big differences with this movie is that they used digital cameras which enabled them to view the scenes quicker than having to wait for the film to be printed. Some other things mentioned:

There will be 4 musical numbers.

The Bride was the toughest to animate... it was like animating 3 people: Her gown, her hair and her body.

Because they have to compete with CGI movies, they needed to improve on how the characters looked, especially with facial movements. So this time, they used a special skin and more articulation instead of using replacement faces.

saw the trailer in front of Fantastic 4, and it looked better than i had hoped for. I was suprised to hear Nightmare before Xmas music in it though...

anyhow, I stick by the fact that Tim Burton movies don't excite me to much anymore, but I will see this one.

Saw it tonight. Must say, I loved it. The look was perfect. Stop motion animation was at its highest and top notch level. The story was well formated and the songs were good and not over stepping at any level.

I didn't see any Jack spottings, but I was way to into the whole movie. The Corpse Bride was animated beyond well. The way her gown flowed was amazing. I seriously can not wait till release date so I can see it again and again.

Now don't let the name fool you and think I'm just a jaded fanboy of burton or I have a special spot for NBC enough to love this film just for that. This film was seriously very fuck'n cool.

This is one to watch. Simply amazing.

I just got back from a screening tonight.

A+ Rating! Great work from all those involved. The animation was so freakin' fluid! Loved it!

Then again, I am a Burton junkie!

Just go see it!

It's funny how people can get you excited to spend money. How was the music score? I think Danny Elfman did a wonderful job on Nightmare.. hoping for another great score! (granted I still haven't checked out the Wonka soundtrack yet either)
