Please do not refer to Luca$ as a god. He already has a swelled ego.

Some of you people are plain idiots who are blinded by your hatred of Lucas. Get a grip. His response was clearly to a question about newcomers to the movies, not a law or a demand that everybody follow. The interviewer asked him a question and he suggested how newcomers to the series should watch it. Seems harmless to me, but some of you seem to see something insidious in everything that Lucas does. Once again, get a grip.

It's interesting how it's always the Lucas apologists who resort to childish name calling whenever someone says something negative about their pudgy, flannel-shirted overlord.

Can I start calling Lucasites assholes now, or would that be against forum rules?

No. Although Lucas originally created the Wookie Holiday Special to celebrate Christmas, he now believes people should watch it on Memorial Day.

That's a classic theme - if one generation succombs, it's up to the next generation to redeem that generation."
So, if I am reading this right, Lucas's son will finally be the Star Wars savior and set things right by editing the first three back to their original form and then by digitally fixing the crapfest that Lucas has claimed is a storyline for the last three?

Badger is somewhat right, but we must also point out that it pretty much is a stupid question to ask in the first place. "Uh, gee Mr. Lucas, or should I call you your Holiness? When you count your money, do you begin $1, $2, $3? Or do you skip around and count the million dollar bills and then the twenties?"

You may be on to something here. A "Luddite" is somebody who is opposed to technology and shuns it completely. A "Lucasite" could thus be defined as a person who is overly dependent on technology and is basically addicted to it.

I don't know if someone noticed, but it was posted that Lucas is recommending watching it in chronological order for 10-year-olds who have never seen the original trilogy.

This is not for US.

We can watch it V,IV,I,III,VI,II if we so choose.

But someday, I do want to watch it in order to see how the subtlety plays out.

Anyway, I have heard arguments from the younger generation that the PT blows the OT out of the water, and I'm like, "Yeah, right."

I agree with the main point of this post(without the name calling).

Some of you guys are being absolutely ridiculous. It's amazing how you find anything wrong with Lucas suggesting a certain viewing order.

Yeah, well, the older generation are supposed to pass down wisdom to the yung'uns...

My kids will watch them in the order I saw them.

And, hey, that's COOL!

We certainly don't have to obey Lucas.

Although, I want to watch it chronologically at least once.

Which begs another Lucas chronological question: Does anyone watch Indy in chronological order (II, I, III)?

I think it's pretty obvious when people write "Di$ney" they're writing about the Disney corporation, not the long-dead Walt Disney.
