so it's possible that i blinked at just the right time? i'll have to watch it again and check it out more closely.

Mentioned in my post above, dear!

I agree with you. If anything, there's that "spiderwalk" scene that annoys me. Not so much the scene, but the placement. It happens way too early.

Well I saw the new version opening night at the Uptown in D.C., and when the face appeared numerous people in the audience gasped so it obviously worked for some. After the spiderwalk scene the entire crowd broke into applause.

No way! I loved them both. The re-release was perfect, in my opinion.
