I still wonder why some people question how Vincent was able to miss the last shots in the subway.

First he's shot/knicked in the ear. That would throw off his balance or atleast effect his well being in some degree. The you have the most important aspect to why he missed. He is trained so well to do the double tap in the chest and the one shot in the head. He did it to everyone he killed. two in the chest and one in the head. it's a straight line and when they are in the subway you will notice that max's chest and head shot area is covered by the subway door.

Vincent shot those areas like he would any other time to kill someone. max's random fire made it through. simple as that.

I loved this film for the setting, for the action, for everything. It highlighted los angeles look perfectly.

That makes sense in movie land, but in the real world I'm sure a hit man, regardless of being wounded and used to shooting in a certain pattern, would be smart enough to shoot through the window/open area of the door.

But still, a minor nitpick in a great action/thriller film.

I just watched this tonight and I have to agree with those that thought this film got out of hand when Max
Spoiler:
crashed the cab and Vincent got out unscathed.

Too much was unbelievable after that:

1. Max was too timid to run on his own WITH a gun - why not just force the cop to call for back-up? Seemed slightly out of character to me - all for a woman he only talked to for a few minutes.

2. I can't believe that in that entire building, only 20 or so phone lines are visible from her office phone, and the one she's on is conveniently labelled with the floor she's on.

3. Vincent knows exactly where to go to cut power on THAT floor (since the lights and elevator worked in the rest of the building, including that floor).

4. Vincent gets shot in the head but rolls on as if nothing happened.

5. Of all the places to run, Vincent follows them to the exact train they're on.

6. Nearly point blank misses on the train shooting back and forth.

Yes, I know these have already been mentioned. I actually would have enojoyed this more if it had a more mundane ending instead of the usual Hollywood ending. But as someone that doesn't live in L.A., I thought this movie was just OK. Not a bad rental, but I wouldn't buy it.

Loved the movie but thought the ending should have been darker. Maybe have them both die in the car crash and then cut to the court case where the bad guy ends up walking.

Just didn't think Max was pushed hard enough to do what he did.

I watched the movie again today (2nd time) and I don't know whether this has been asked before, but I found it a bit of a stretch that everyone that Vincent was tracking down was at the exact location he went. Particular in question was the fact that Jada Pinkett's character as the US attorney was working in an office building around 2-4 AM.

The other thing that seemed quite unbelievable was

Spoiler:
Vincent was seemingly shot directly into the head by Max in the head, yet he was appararently able to get up and pursue on foot into the Metro subway scene. If the bullet was only to have grazed him in the ear, then I find it somewhat amusing that a character named "Vincent" had his ear nearly blown off.
