Need Help Identifying This Movie! :)

Hey all!
There is this image from a movie I saw back in the 80's. I don't know what its called but I remember it was about a bunch of soldiers in the jungle or something and there were a bunch of deadly traps set. Anyway, the one main image I remember is of this one soldier, getting caught in a trap. .. He is caught by the foot and hung upside down, then two slabs or whatever, with spikes swing down on either side of him and crush him. Does this sound familiar to anyone??
I have checked out some places and it MIGHT be Southern Comfort or The Last Hunter. Can anyone help?

No, there's no scene like that in Surviving The Game

Well, Southern Comfort was the first title that I thought of... But, I don't have a photo memory of that flick... So, I can't be 100%.

It's not Rambo unless you are mistaken about the slabs killing the guy.

My gut feeling goes with Southern Comfort, though I don't remember that specific scene.

Another one to consider is Charles Bronson's "Death Hunt", though I don't believe that he actively tried to kill his pursuers (thus the slabs getting the guy wouldn't fit that movie, plus the whole movie is set in snow).

Sound like one of the scene in The Green Berets.

Spoiler:
There were in a scene with John Wayne and his men going into the jungle. One of the men I believe it was Jim Hutton got trap in one the deadly trap you describe and was killed.

But it was filmed in 1968, so it may not be the movie you're looking for.

I'd almost guarantee it was Southern Comfort. There is a scene where a guy gets impaled in a way similar to what you described.

I just watched Southern Comfort again, it's not the movie he was thinking about. There was only one guy killed by a trap and it was a board with punji stakes that sprang up from the ground (no flipping upside down, hanging from trees, or spikes hitting from both sides).

Besides that, the soldiers were killed by being shot (3), stabbed (1), drowning in quick sand (1), and hanging (1), and one sort of just disappeared (during the canoe scene near the beginning, there were three canoes, two with three soldiers and one with four soldiers, but there were only nine soldiers total).
