Wow. I think that's a horrible miss-casting. Of course I'll wait and see but as a life long FF fan Jessica Alba is about the last person I'd see in the role.

I don't know anyone in that cast (except the possible Alba)

She's the first person I'd like to see braless in the blue suit tho.

Ditch Alba - she is NOT Sue Richards - replace with Nikki DeLoach - Chiklis is genius for that role (can almost hear him roaring, "It' Clobberin' Time!") - however I'll be real disappointed if Johnny starts overzealously performing Mr Miyagi symantics with "Flame on, Flame off". One thing I never understood with Sue Richards/Invisible Girl....why is she the only one TWO superpower traits (invisibility AND able project deflective shields) as a result from the same cosmic rays that only endowed the rest with just ONE super trait?

Now regarding storyarcs, Id rather see Silver Surfer....not so much because IM interested in Norin Radd, but I wanna see Galactus done...and done properly...i wanna see that so bad.

They look like models. Can either of these women act?

Why are they going for young people mostly? I thought the FF was mostly a bunch of consenting adults save for Human Torch.

Jessica Alba could be the breaker for me.

I hope this choice is not a reflection of the directors intentions to make a movie that panders to a target audience over creating a vision.

They should have brought in an unknown.

I'm thinking they might take on the ultimate FF angle...

Alba is pretty is look at, but when I read FF as a kid, no way did I picture Sue as a 20ish ditz. I thought Sue had blonde hair, I thought Sue was Johnny's sister, I thought Sue was romantically linked to Reed, I thought she was white. Sorry, don't mean to sound racist, but this casting is dreadful. I guess, my dreams of my beloved FF as a movie will go into flames b/c of miscasting and PC.

Sienna Miller was pretty entertaining as Fiona on "Keen Eddie", and Nikki Deloach is on "North Shore" and is saddled with sappy dialogue, but she's not a horrible actress. They are both at least on par with Jessica Alba, but they both at least look like Sue Storm from the comics, unlike Alba.

alba is a very bad choice, sue is white, blond, looks about 30. she was no kid when the FF got their powers. i think the target audience is 20 and under. this will be the first bad marvel comic book movie adaptation since marvel got back into making movies. $100 million budget tells you that it won't be a "BIG" production like spidey and x-men. which is bad because FF should be $150 to $200 million. the origin of their powers can't be told because it happens in space and i doubt it's in the budget so i'm sure corners will be cut and this movie will suck. and this coming from someone who has loved all the marvel movies since blade.

Hell YES to your continued lobbying of Sienna Miller.

Nikki DeLoach is quite sexy, too.

Nikki Deloach was also a Mouseketeer for quite some time...not only can she act, but she can sing and dance too! Seriously though, I haven't seen North Shore but found Deloach to be a decent personality on MMC back in the day. I wish they might have given her a chance...I just can't picture Jessica Alba in this movie.

This isn't making me fee better too. The film is described as "primarily a comedy"

I was quite okay with the casting of Gruffold, Chiklis, and the "Not Another Teen Movie" guy, but I just can't see Alba. Every other name that was mention as a possibility in the past few weeks (McAdams, Wynters, Rusell, Cuthbert) for Sue Storm was a decent choice....but it seems they went out of there way to get the absolute worst of the bunch.

Sure she's hella hot and given the right make-up/costume she can looks the part, but I don't ever recall having seen her on screen and thought she could even pass as a credible actress.

Oh well, we should be happy WB got their heads out of their asses and let Nolan play his own game.....one uncomprimised superhero movie a year is all we get.

Well, the Alba casting pretty much makes it a lock that I won't see this.

Oh boy.

Does this mean we get to look forward to Johnny Storm using his powers to force women into taking off their clothes, Sue running into lockerrooms with hunky guys, Reed trying to get all parts of his anatomy to stretch, and Ben "The Thing" Grimm developing a mean case of IBS?

Fantastic Four Set Pics & THE THING Sighting

So what do you think? Doesn't look like rocks to me. More like a shit monster to me. Plus he's really small, I thought The Thing was a big guy. The design is very Jack Kirby-ish

I agree. The pictures seem highly compressed, which makes anything look muddled.

Regarding the size, they could be using forced perspective to make the thing seem large. Similar to how they shot the hobbits and Gimli in Lord of the Rings to seem smaller.
