I apologize, but without having read a single post in the thread, I have no doubt that I would rather spend 90 minutes IN a White Castle, than seeing this film.

MMMMMM. I wish we had 'em!!!

"Personally, I didn't see much difference between this and Dude, Where's My Car?...except for the lack of aliens in this one, thankfully."

Well that's a good start

I saw it tonight, and I have to say it's a much smarter, funnier movie than 'Dude, Where''s My Car?

I saw this yesterday afternoon, and thought it was very funny.

I have only seen 3 comedies in the theater this summer and I rank them as Anchorman> Harold and Kumar> Dodgeball

I would probably give it 3 stars... at the very least worth a rental if you are only a casual moviegoer.

I thought I'd like a bit more that I actually did, but it was still enjoyable.

As mentioned before, I am still laughing when I think about

Spoiler:
Kumar getting with the big bag of weed, and watching them fall in love, get married, get their pictures taken in those cutoff face boards, and then, the best part to me, was when the bag of weed brings him coffee while he is working, he tastes it and spits it out, calls the weed a whore and a slut, and then has to comfort the crying bag of weed by telling it that he loves it.....great stuff!

It was consistently funny enough to get my recommendation. And movieking, that scene you have in spoilers was definitely the funniest moment of the film.

Sorry stoners, but i guess Filthy disagrees with this film.

When are people going to learn that teen comedies can be good like Animal House? When Hollywood when? Oh right you just like the money.

Animal house will always have a special place in my heart. regardless of what silliness you claim has outdone it.

OK, so if I understand correctly, if I liked Dude, Where's My car? then I will most likely like this move also, correct?

I finally saw this last night.

The theater with about 75 ppl in it was like 75% Asian (90% of them East Asian). I felt like I was watching Better Luck Tomorrow again.

I brought my white roommate with me who has an Asian fetish and he was laughing even more than me.

This was the funniest movie I've seen all year. I laughed more than I did at Dodgeball, Anchorman, or White Chicks.

I loved the scene in the end credits when
Spoiler:
they have the police "accurate" police sketches that show the generic drawing of the Asian guy with the straw hat and the Indian guy with the turban
.

Some other classic lines:
"Dude, just cuz I'm hung like a horse doesn't mean I have to be in porn."

"Those guys look like lame versions of us."

Kumar's shirt. "I love Bush.....Not the President...but the *****"

I'm gonna see this again next week with a different group of friends.

I think I may have to go see this tonight. I need a good mindless comedy to take my mind off some things. this should fit the bill well.

I really don't think you'd like this movie, if you're into "mindless" comedies.

Just got back and for the most part I liked it. There were some moments that were just not funny to me but others that were downright hilarious.
Spoiler:
when Kumar dreams of marrying the big bag of weed I was laughing hysterically. The coffee part and when he was spinning arm and arm with it were hilarious.

One question though
Spoiler:
early in the movie, what the hell was up with the guy pissing in the woods next to Kumar? That was just plain weird

I agree though with earlier comments that Dude Where's My Car should have been more along these lines.
one other part that no one else in the theater seemed to be laughing at but I was cracking up during was
Spoiler:
the asian club meeting with that Ken kid. I don't know why but there was something about that guy that was just hilarious to me

Bobby Lee from Mad TV, you don't have to pretend like you don't know.

Comedies aspire to make the viewers laugh, and on that criteria, this film did not let me down. Some of the scenes were very LOL funny, while others were amusing, though there are a few detours that seemed to be channeling the Coen brothers in strangeness, but thankfully those scenes are few and far between. I also felt the middle dragged just a bit, but overall, a fun time.

I give it 2.75 stars, or a grade of B-.
