WTF?!

:hscratch:

JBurns24 06-08-04 10:01 PM

oy...everything else seems perfect with this move. But this batmobile really doesn't seem right to me

RyoHazuki 06-08-04 10:03 PM

I have faith in Nolan. I think he knows what he's doing.

RichC2 06-08-04 10:04 PM

This is a prequel isn't it?

In that case, for an early model batmobile, that fits perfectly.

Hokeyboy 06-08-04 10:06 PM

I read the BB script. This fits in perfectly with what Nolan/Goyer have planned. Believe you me, once you see what this thing does you'll be drooling with impish joy and geeklike eggroll trampolines!

jaeufraser 06-08-04 10:07 PM

Out of the script...it's a prototype Batmobile, made up of military/tech parts from Wayne corporation. Supposed to look kinda humveeish, and that matches the script fairly accurately.

It's not wicked cool looking like the first Batmobile (which just has to be one of the coolest cars made for a movie), but hey...until I see it in context I'm not going to make a judgement.

costanza 06-08-04 10:09 PM

you sure that's not from mad max 4?

Jackskeleton 06-08-04 10:10 PM

"How do I get out of this chicken shit outfit?"

POWERBOMB 06-08-04 10:16 PM

Looks like something from Monster Garage.

fumanstan 06-08-04 10:18 PM

Like was said in previous threads about the Batmobile, its something more practical and realistic. Plus, it looks very similar to the Batmobile in Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns

Ehh..so far the Bat costume and mobile have been less than stellar but I still got my fingers crossed.

Thrush 06-09-04 12:07 AM

Looks like a cross between a Delorean and a Hummer.

David Blair 06-09-04 12:26 AM

What the hell?

Who's driving that thing, Batman or Mad Max?

Jackskeleton 06-09-04 01:45 AM

RoboDad 06-09-04 01:58 AM

The more I see of this abomination, the less I want to see it in the theater. No impish drooling here, sorry.

UAIOE 06-09-04 02:10 AM

I'd buy one.

But that's not the point. It isn't about whether I would buy one, it's whether I "buy" the idea of Batman having one, and calling the Batmobile. If he had it as part of his arsenal, for a specific purpose, that's one thing, but the thought of that thing cruising around Gotham strikes me as rather stupid.

what suits you. I may not be thrilled with it, but one little item will not keep me out of the theater. especially considering it is explained as to why it is there and it is practical.

Suit yerself.

Frankly it's growing on me.

Ergyu 06-09-04 03:39 AM

At least it has Super Swampers.

flashburn 06-09-04 05:34 AM

That batmobile is kickass, and everyone I have shown it to has agreed. Can't wait for this film.
