Awsome trailer, character of Riddick rocks, what other film in the summer says your rooting for a murderer to kill some other evil.

It's cool.

If somebody starts a thread praising Vin, I will not post in it.

i never said anyone was threadcrapping. i just really agreed with that guys post.

It was nothing personal, just wanted to bring up why negative remarks were being posted - sorry for the mess.

I would have paid for it. But now I'm not because I got advance screening tickets. Aside from Spiderman 2, it looks like the best action blockbuster of the summer.

looked pretty decent from the 10 minute preview on MTV. though an incredible departure from the original which is what made the movie unique and a great horror flick..looks ok, though i think it will be compared to much to old and thus not do so well.

Watched this movie this weekend on DVD. I didn't like the first one all that well but loved this one. Lots of action and the movie looked good visually. I am a sucker for a strong lead that is a complete badass. I am now hoping for a third one.

Did u watch the theatrical or directors cut? The DC is a better film I thought because it has more backstory and development.

And more precise and better edited fighting, although keep in mind it deletes some stuff also on top of adding a whole new subplot/motivation and character.

I'm almost the opposite... I loved the first one, and while I didn't completely dislike this one it didn't measure up IMHO. I guess since it's supposed to be a continuation of the character and not a true sequel of the first maybe I was expecting the wrong things out of it. Not a bad popcorn flix though.
