Alright thanks guys. I always wondered what was up with those estimates.
Anyways, the big drop... I figure most fans would see it opening night. I talked to a ton of people who were incredibly psyched to see it Friday, even 12am Thursday night. Ya have the big fans mostly seeing it Friday, and the rest of the eager audience seeing it Saturday.

Ha, a better explanation for "front loaded." EVERY movie opens and drops off afterwards. Front Loaded refers to films that, usually with large fan bases for said material, sees a larger than usual gross the first day due to extreme interest by fans. Note Matrix, Harry Potter or Star Wars where opening day was enormous, dwarfing any other day of release. Most films aren't necessarily front loaded, though in this day in age every film usually starts big and dwindles fast. But these films do so in a more extreme way.

fixed. jaeufraser explained this well. Every film will see a drop. only rarely do films build up after the first week, but front load is specificlly for those films of extreme interest that have a ton of take in opening day and the moment everyone who wanted to see it first see's it, it drops down fast.
