Yeah, Huston's on board. I hope Sam Worthington is worthy (pun intended) of the hype he's getting between this, Avatar, and Terminator Salvation.

Apparently, there's also a possibility this might carry an R rating too, but a hard PG-13 could also work for this one.

Still too early to make an opinion. For some reason, the first thing that came to mind was God Of War instead of Clash of the Titans.

I just noticed that earlier in this thread it was mentioned that Mads Mikkelsen is in this as well. With him, Liam Neeson, and Danny Houston in the cast, I'll definitely keep an eye out for this.

Re: Clash of the Titans remake..

I'm going to guess everybody's going to put on posh English accents for this movie set in Classical times. If that's the case, I hope Sam Worthington's English accent is better than his pretty wonky American accent that he used in Terminator. He's the only Aussie actor I've seen who can't speak like a Yank.

Re: Clash of the Titans remake..

You think they'd put on Greek accents but this being a fantasy flick, everybody's gotta sound like an Englishman.

I'll be keeping an eye on this but, as others have said, I guess it's too early to really tell how this is going to turn out.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a special edition of the original.

With Taken, A-Team, and Clash, he might as well get an invite to Expendables 2

Huh? Doesn't the whole world outside of America have a British accent? (Except Robin Hood, of course.)

Who's that dude with Perseus in the second pic? He's dressed like a Muslim Warrior from the Crusades.

I agree! But for Clash Of The Titans the effect in certain scenes it needs major amount of improvement.

I remember seeing Clash Of The Titans and saying to myself "damn if only certain scenes and special effects were cleaned out and revamped!". Love the movie it's epic.

i don't mind at all seeing an update of this with todays tech. But saying that, the original was still a great movie and as watchable as King Kong is. I still love all those stop motion movies that Ray had a hand in.

Looking at those pictures makes me feel like I've never seen the first one. It's pretty, though.

I agree 100%. I'm definitely interested in seeing what they can do with modern effects, modern production values, and a big budget .... but the original was in a class by itself and I will never stop loving it.

That's already been done - it was called Godzilla (1998)

(Honestly, plotwise that movie was a lot more a remake of Beast than it was of Gojira, aka Godzilla)

Re: Clash of the Titans remake..

I really look forward to this. The original was badass. The remake looks badass. I hope it lives up to it's potential so I can have both side by side on BD.

Speaking of the original, has it already been released on BD? If not, are there any plans to release it?

Re: Clash of the Titans remake..

You beat me to it by a minute. I couldn't find the thread on the first 3 pages so I did a search and now your post was here.

Anyway, this definitely hooked me. I've never seen the original, but this looks like it could be fun.

Re: Clash of the Titans remake..

looks good. probably hasn't been since LOTR: The Return of the King that we had this type of movie (people vs. odd creatures, epic battles, etc.), on a seemingly less epic scale however.

This movie looks like the type of movie that Lemmy eats you for not enjoying.
