Battlefield Earth
Also, I believe the thread should specify that these movies are so bad that they aren't even amusing/entertaining simply because of how awful they are.
We had an earlier thread about bad movies you liked (kind of had the Tom Jones Effect: So bad, it's good.) I didn't see how anyone could like Battlefield Earth for any reason whatsoever.

Space Cowboys. Most other utterly shitty movies I've seen had at least some kind of redeeming quality, although usually not intended. Space Cowboys was just horrible, horrible, horrible.

My vote goes for Falling Down
Pure racist garbage.
After that I think it's a tie between Cannonball Run 2 and Smokey and the Bandit 3.
Oh, and I think Over The Top deserves an honorable mention as well. Armwrestling, people, Armwrestling. What buffoon heard this pitch and thought it would be cinematic gold?

How can you include Superman IV in that list of dread? Superman IV was easily the best of the Superman films, and was masterfully directed. I don't understand which part of the movie you wouldn't have liked. The nuclear villian guy was fantastic, far better than those 3 weirdos from II, Mariel Hemingway gave an Oscar-worthy performance, and of course Reeve and Kidder were genius. Best of all, by the time they made this movie, they had really perfected the special effects.
Perhaps you need to revisit this great film with a fresh mind, and appreciate the complexity and nuance of Kent and Lane's relationship, the brilliant interplay between Hackman and Nuclear Man, and the delicate humor of Jon Cryor's character. Not to mention the stunning, groundbreaking action sequences. I must've watched this movie six times at the theaters, studying every detail. My well-worn DVD is proof of my love for this cinematic classic.

I am speechless, utterly speechless.

Sorry, but this is a time when only smiles can properly convey the absolute horror and disbeleif I am experiencing.

I don't believe that FALLING DOWN was racist. It definitely had racial overtones, and the subject matter was controversial...but to call it racist is too oversimplified and too general of a statement.
Joel Schumacher isn't the most competent director, so that is probably one of the reasons why FALLING DOWN didn't meet up to its potential.

Oh..and my vote goes to Shining Through. my wife and I were the only people in the theatre.
This is from IMDB. If it doesn't whet your appetite...nothing will ;-)
Melanie Griffith plays Linda, a jewish American girl who volunteered to enter Nazi Germany as a spy. She tells her story in flashback, an old woman relating her adventures to a BBC documentary crew.

Why the F#*% would I defend Soul Plane? What movie on this thread did I defend? If your going to make a meritless statement, at least make it clever.
That comment was just dumb.
