Greeting, amigos. I saw this film tonight, and I thought it was...
Cough! Cough! Hack... Wheeze... Cough... Hack! PTUI!
Pardon me. Hairball.
It was great! Better than the first (and I thought the first was very good).

I'm pretty sure that would be illegal here in the states. The terrorists have won.

My favorite line:
Sadly, I was the only person in the theater who got it. Everybody else just stared at me like I was nuts for laughing at it.

It was OK. The novelty or "magic" of the first was gone for me but I still laughed at parts. Particularly the "Knights" sequence and the other sight gags. The Disney jabs got old with the first movie though.

I didn't get that Garfield reference. I got these though:
- LOTR
- Alien
- Austin Powers
- Little Mermaid
- Flashdance
And others that I can't remember right now.

Saw it, loved it, and I probably would put it higher than the first Shrek, which I watched last night. Lots of references that I got, and many more that I missed that I will pick up upon repeated viewings.
Personally, I don't think that Donkey and Dragon should have had premarital sex, but that's just me.

Well, I just came back from a matinee and I have to say that I liked better than the first movie. I personally felt that the sight gags and jokes were aimed more at the adults than the children.

However, kudos to Antonio Banderas for an excellent performance as the heroic feline and Eddie Murphy again as Donkey.
Can't wait for the DVD!

Just remembered another one...
Did you notice that the gingerbread man had icing stitches to re-attach his legs from where they were broken off in the first movie?

I was thinking about the Boomtown Rats moreso than Garfield as well.
I noticed the stitching on Gingerbread Man's legs as well.
One character that I really didn't like was the fairy godmother, including "Holding Out For A Hero". I know that I was not supposed to like her, but I didn't like her role, and thought it was the weakest part of the movie.
Also, the music in this one was not as good as the first one. Didn't think that Livin La Vida Loca fit very well. I think that they should have went with I Will Survive, or something else (ok, let's face it, anything else).

In regards to the use of "Living la Vida Loca", I give the writers and animators the benefit of the doubt that this was planned way before the whole William Hung version of the song came to invade the airwaves and make the song even more annoying than it should have been.
