Ok... Did anyone notice in the first Star Wars they made (A new Hope.) When luke got out of his ship and everyone was in celebration. He went to scream Leia. But instead he screamed her real name Carrie instead.
Ok did that actully happen/ I played a few times to make sure. And i am pretty sure that it did.
Correct me if i am wrong. Did anyone else see it?

Interesting thread, because I was just listening to an interview
with Hamill on a morning show where one of the DJ's asked about
this "flub" and Hamill said that this scene was recorded later and
then added to the film and that there was no way that could've
happened. He went on to say the same thing that they quote
him on the web page linked earlier in the thread.
Interesting thing is that I had never heard of this flub and never
knew there was a controversy. I had always thought he said,
"Hey there she is!" And the radio interview was the first I heard
about it, then two days later see this thread...ah good times...

When the SE came out, I compared it to the original...the delivery is the same. No change. Quite frankly, it's hard to tell if he's yelling "HEY!" or "Carrie!"
I've shown the scene to a few people unaware of the flub, and they all guess that he's saying "Hey!" If you tell them that he says "Carrie!" beforehand, then that's what they hear.
Kind of like the whole "Take off your clothes" thing in Aladdin.

So what is that supposed to be in Aladdin then, because I could swear that it is "Take off your clothes". Nevermind it was very awkward for dialogue to be there.

The "Carrie" thing is a big urban legend. Considering that the dialogue is looped afterwards -- often times requiring several takes in itself -- it is very unlikely this sort of thing would've gone by undetected.
I never heard it as "Carrie" myself. It's been always, "Heeeyyyyyyyy!"
