Nice. J.J. Abrahms will probably bring the emotion to this franchise. And it'll probably turn out that Philip Seymore Hoffman is Cruise's dad. And then we get to see Abrahms doing what he does best (daddy issues). All kidding aside though, it looks cool. This should be good (and Michelle Monaghan is freakin' HOT).

Sometimes she looks hot. Other times it's pretty meh. Kind of like Kirsten Dunst or Sarah Michelle Gellar. I guess not everyone can be Angelina Jolie.

Like in NORTH COUNTRY, when she was covered in port-o-john poop.

Yeah, not so hot there.

I'm amazed at how Tom Cruise still looks like hes in his early 30s.

I thought the trailer looked very good. I'm glad to see Hoffman playing a bad guy.

By the time this movie comes out, it's going to feature "Oscar Winner" Philip Seymour Hoffman, so that should add to its appeal.

I have to admit, the teaser trailer is fantastic...went from a "maybe see" to a "must see" for me.

I can safely say, though, that the trailer is not one of the reasons I'm interested in seeing MI3. Granted, I was sleep depraved when I saw it (can't view most trailers on my PC, so I'm basing all of this on a theatrical look at it), but I just didn't think it was anything particularly enthralling. Maybe it's just me, though..

I totally agree with you. I think the trailer stunk except for maybe the last explosion. Just didn't pique my interest.

Where Felicity goes. I go too. I hope this puts Keri Russel on the radar so everyone else can see how good she is.
Hated the first two because they were nothing like the show about a GROUP of agents working together. Maybe JJ will get it right.

I couldn't help laughing when Tom Cruise first appeared in the trailer. Absolutely no emotion on his face, not even blinking. It's Tom Cruise playing every other character he's ever played!! (except Magnolia, he wasn't acting there; that was a documentary I think)

that last shot with the explosion and him being shoved onto the car with the glass shattering was pretty cool; the fact that it didn't cut and wasn't in slow motion makes it look very realistic..

I've never seen that movie, so it slipped my mind. But you got to admit, that shot of Mr. Mapother could've been the expression he has when tying his shoes or waiting for a bagel to be defrosted in the microwave.
"'Cool new member' indeed..."? What does that even mean? You're observing that I have made between 20 and 50 posts? Impressive, most impressive

My favorite part of this trailer?

Cruise running > Explosion > Cruise slams into car.

Comedy fuckin' Gold.

Bringing something fresh to the classic dive forward as the massive explosion erupts behind the hero.

you want to see an expression with no emotion, check out the trailer for The Family Stone, Sarah Jessica makes the same exact facial expression several times throughout the trailer
