Bob Hope's Road Movies
Just got the Bob Hope road boxset, and made a start last night. Watched Sinnapore...man that is some funny ****! I was amazed at how tight the movie.
Anybody else enjoy these and which one is the best?
And man, did Anthony Quinn look young!

I recently watched Morocco. It wasn't as funny as I remembered from when I watched it as a kid but I still enjoyed it. Bing had a great set of pipes. I've still got the main song from that movie stuck in my head.
"Moonlight and music, it goes with your hair. You certainly know the right things to wear."
"Moonlight and music, I'm thrilled at the sight, and I can get so romantic tonight."

My favorite Road movie is: Road to Utopia; follow by Road to Morocco. Morocco has the better songs.
On the Lux Radio Theatre they did a version of Road to Morocco with Hope, Crosby and Ginny Simms replacing Dorothy Lamore.
Very Good.

To see Bob so young, so alive...it's kind of sad to know how he ended up later when he became very old.
But he had a hell of a life and really gave himself to soliders and sailors everywhere.
So is it true Crosby beat his kids, or is that just sour grapes?

I saw at least four of these in the Walmart bargain bin. They were actually two movies for $5 because each DVD was a double feature. I though about picking one up, but I just recently got burned by the bargain bin for the "Martial Arts Action Pack" which featured a picture of Bruce Lee, but the crappy "movie", called Fist of Fear , was a american ripoff made after his death and intercut with old Lee footage.

Isn't there a relatively inexpensive new release of these coming out in another month or so ? Four movies on 2 disks or one flipper or something ? How many Road pictures were there ?
