Comic stores get their Preliminary Diamond shipping list about a week or so before they get that shipment. They get charged for the comics then also, So they pretty much know what is coming more or less.

Also a note. They are the manga size tpb's that Marvel has been doing lately with many of their titles. I would suggest anyone to go on the hunt for the older versions as they are bigger and don't look like god damn kiddie books. Totally worthless that they would be doing this to sin city books.

I know the comic dealer I talk to had these on their invoice last thursday:
FRANK MILLER SIN CITY VOL 1 HARD GOODBYE 2ND TP
FRANK MILLER SIN CITY VOL 3 BIG FAT KILL 2ND TP
FRANK MILLER SIN CITY VOL 4 THAT YELLOW BASTARD 2N

So I really wouldn't be surprised that they show up on wednesday. I'm not sure if Sess is posting from the future.

So they are going to be asking around $18 a pop for something the size of a regular PB book by a lot of standards? What a rip off! Wish I had a decent comic shop in my area. Surprisingly, Knoxville doesn't have many places to get obscure movies and collectibles, which I find weird for a college town this size.

Thanks for the info. I ordered the original copies of the first two, Hard Goodbye and Dame to Kill For this weekend. Glad i didn't wait for the 2nd edition if they're that much smaller.

Any suggestions on the best place to get these comics? I assume from whats been said about the new editions its best to get the old ones. I'd probably have to be online since I've checked around town w/ no luck. Thanks!

Also: What song is that in the trailer?!

Hey Sessa you live around the Woodbridge area right? Where is this comic book store? I never knew there were anymore left around here anymore.

Anyway, I think this movie will do pretty good, I will certainly make sure all my friends see it, so hopefully it is good, and word of mouth can spread.

They are re-releasing the SIN CITY books into smaller editions? That sux. I had the rest (beside the 1st one) on pre-order. Guess I'll have to cancel and start searching all my local stores this weekend. Hope they aren't going to become collectors items on eBay.

Probably Schindler's List. But this film isn't all black and white, there are elements of color, like blood and the Yellow Bastard.

Yeah, (well actually I live in New Brunswick) but the store is in Edison, not even 5 minutes from Woodbridge Mall. Send me an email if you need directions, it would be great if you check it out.

Anyone know the order in which the stories will be presented in the movie? I know they were obviously released out of order, but I am curious how RR will handle it.

Also, surely he is omitting some of the scenes and interior monologues of some of the characters. I just don't see how he would have time to fit all three of the stories he is telling in their entirety into a regular movie time frame. Maybe it just takes me longer to read a panel than to shoot it.

wow you guys probably get off on this shit lol

i dont care if you cant see my posts, do what you want. but to post here telling everyone that you cant see my posts is just a waste of our time. Go somewhere else with that, alright?

EDIT - I find it funny that you make a big deal and accuse me of threadcrapping when you follow me around just to try and gang up on me and post nothing remotely related to Sin City at all. Your a hypocrite and you are obviously not mature enough to belong to a message board

Didn't QT just do one scene or so? I think I know the one, just from reading the comics.

I think he did some second unit stuff with some of the actors, for some reason I am remembering something about him shooting a dialogue scene in a car.

I think it's one between Del Toro's character and Clive Owen. I remember a scene in the comic with their two characters in a car and Del Toro's character ("Jackie Boy" for the record) mentions Star Trek. That kind of tipped me off that this would be QT's scene.
