I saw trailers for Spiderman 2, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, The Alamo, and Turd Robelli.

Is there actually a movie called Turd Robelli? Surprised they let a title like that fly.

Hellboy trailer. Genius.

... if you wanted REALLY inappropriate tie-ins... I remember the show for Once Upon A Time In Mexico, with a trailer preceding it fo... The Alamo.
Yeah, because before an action movie being shown to an audience full of mexicans, you want to show a trailer for a movie where the mexicans are the faceless monstrous villains! Of course!

Only family-fare movies for trailers at the showing I went to:
Two Brothers, Miracle, and Hidalgo.

I've heard unofficially that Famous Players theatres in Canada are going with No Commercials and only the "Two Brothers" trailer.

One report from a friend of mine had them turning off their Pre-Show advertising slide show whereas another friend said that wasn't the case for him.

. Only one that looked good was called the two brothers or osmething like that. Just like Milo and Otis, but with two tigers. and guy pierce. yeah

What does that mean? That these audiences shouldn't have to see movie trailers?

I hate to double post, but thought I would say what ads/trailers I saw before the film, since that is the point of this thread.

Three ads: Scion, one for a cellular phone, and one for coke.

Trailers: Agent Cody Banks 2, Home On The Range, Two Brothers

Interestingly, at both movies I saw at the same theater tonight (the other was 50 First Dates), the trailers didn't have the MPAA screen before each trailer. I wonder if this theater is purposely cutting away the MPAA part. If they are,
