Sorry, didn't see Parker Posey in the trailer. Guess I should have looked closer.

Actually, I think this was just a rush to get the trailer out while Spider-Man is in theaters. This doesnt come out til December 10, over 5 months from now.
The teaser trailer for Blade 2 had very limited footage and that came out with one of the Lord of the Rings movies, 5 months later Blade 2 came out. So the fact that there is little footage of the movie doesnt mean anything.
They are just marketing with what they have to deal with.

I'm sure everyone here knows a thing or two about teaser trailers... my comment was about how this one was composed, not that it didn't have enough material for a trailer.
The inclusion of so much footage from earlier films is, in my opinion, a poor show, one that reminds me of the awful Nutty Professor II trailer - that used all material from the first film. If you're going to use old footage, use it well - like in the Spongebob Squarepants: The Movie trailer. Now that's quality trailermaking!

I'm just saying, this is all marketing.
Showing flashes of the previous movies serves 2 fold. It shows the fans of the movie some of the old scenes to get the pumped up for the new stuff. But it is mainly for people who hadn't seen the first 2 films, and with the huge amount of people going to Spider-man, you're gonna find a lot of people who will see this trailer that didn't see Blade. This will fill them in a bit on the story to get their interest in Blade. That will help the 3rd film, as well as increase sales of DVD's.

I'd like to see more Wesley as well. Relatively speaking he hasn't done much big studio stuff at all since the the original Blade with the exception of 2000's Art of War (which was pretty decent IMO). Maybe he's just been kicking back.

Since when do they use light saber like thingies in vampire hunts? (the resolution on my PC made it look like such).
I seem to notice this movie is really trying to push the whole "isn't Jessica Biel a hottie?" factor a lot in its publicity so far. I wonder if they might be tinkering with the idea of her taking over the franchise should Mr. Snipes choose to bow out?
Overall, an impressive clip. I just don't think that December is the best time to release the movie.
